the fact that i'm no longer the same age as the protagonists of novels and films i once connected to is so heartbreaking. there was a time when I looked forward to turning their age. i did. and i also outgrew them. i continue to age, but they don't; never will. the immortality of fiction is beautiful, but cruel.
I’m drunk, it’s 2 am, i have a doctors appointment in 8 hours and my doodling escalated. But i can’t say i’m mad. Have a very elfish looking purple aurelio voltaire in progress. … I should really sleep. ________________________________________

This is my first attempt at digital art in years, and of course i just blindly dived into it without a plan and now i'm stuck. Should i try some more? Or just tidy it up a bit and upload as is? I don't know what to do. ._.

Because the last post was just to cheer- and colourful :’D Look at thranduil, being all gloomy pocahontas, clutching dead leaves and stuff. I’ve read quite a few fanfictions where the author portrays the king as this unnessecarily wary and even hostile individual. But look at the circumstances: he has to watch the kingdom his father established fall to ruin and be corrupted by dark forces, his people being driven away by the same powers, and he, the king, can hardly do anything. Who wouldn’t be on edge? … Also, i forgot how fun fine mechanical pencils are.
I just realized that emmrich is living the bilbo baggins experience, going on an adventure in his fifties.

Honestly, that would be such a sick connection if we ever get a remaster of the first game!!!
Do you remember the story of Alina and Celina in the first Witcher? And the broken mirror? That was a quest object. Not an ordinary one. The mirror of Nehaleni, a magical artefact with oracular abilities. When it comes to mirrors I become very suspicious. Gaunter described himself to Geralt as a former merchant of mirrors, and that was not just a fable, he might indeed put his special mirrors at markets, and then, isn't it a perfect way to watch, to play, to mock?
