Professional baseball player!Dex gets into trouble that is ruining his growing career all because he uncaringly beats the shit out of a man into coma, too pissed at the agency for exploiting him, not knowing his victim is actually a predator who once Angela witnessed harassing so many women already so Angela insists on Nelson Murdock and Page's lawfirm to help clear his name but Dex thinks it's ridiculous and pointless so he's being very anti-helpful the whole process at the beginning and admiting that he didn't know about the man at all; what he did was intentional so he can just go to prison and unleash his pent-up frustration to inmates there because he knows there won't be a chance to get into this one and only dream career of his anymore, not the slightest since the moment the news about the beating got published and broadcasted, knowing he is too worthless because of his former contractor slash agency has proven so, to which then as the last resort, Foggy tries to coax him by saying what can they do to make him cooperate? They'll do anything as long as the request is realistic and doable. So, as a tongue in cheek response, Dex tells them: if they can bring Daredevil to him, the one vigilante he really, truly wants to spar with because they have similliar skillset - just to see who is better - perhaps he will at least try to fight harder for this battle.

Take a wild fucking guess who's against that daring requirement.

Only Matt knows Dex is being genuine, with the curiosity; it almost tastes pure. And Dex actually becomes an open book once Matt shows up in Daredevil suit to meet him with the help of Agent Ray, regardless Dex's infamously cocky mannerism still.

Who would've guessed the next time they come to visit Dex again, he's became a changed, obidient man? Not Foggy Nelson nor Karen Page for sure.

"Matt Murdock in a love triangle" is actually a crime and so reductive to his character, they did not have Dex giving Matt fuck-me-eyes as Matt pulled his hair for that

They did not have Foggy haunting the narrative all season long and Matt kissing his card for that

We also did not have Matt attending a family barbeque with Jennifer's family for that

And Elektra is already planned to come back according to the showrunners and we know she'll literally burn NYC to the ground to get to Matt

Please that man is a whore, restricting him to a heteronormative love triangle is removing flavor from him and that cannot happen, writers be serious. We want to see that man have insane tension with everybody and anybody that moves
