i have a theory (not a spoiler lol)

with all the discourse surrounding colin's feelings being rushed, polin not having chemistry, she should've chosen debling, etc. -- the people who are not rooting for polin are one of two things:

a. they have never experienced what penelope has gone through. they have never been considered a wallflower in their own right. they were never as unnoticed and unloved as her.

b. they have experienced what penelope has gone through yet they never received any closure from that time, they never fully got to heal from it.

i am a polin stan through and through but because of my trauma with my dad cheating on my mom with someone from his childhood, any mention of marina, their failed engagement, his infatuation for her makes me cry lol so i sit in the middle rn
