I’m gonna be so real some of you just need to lock in and stop trying to find excuses not to apply.
You don’t need any more information, stop scrolling.
You already know what it is you need to do.
So just decide.
Decide you have what you want RIGHT NOW and don’t let anything break you from that resolve. You have it right now.
Persist in the knowing that you have what you want.
Just lock in. Stop waiting. Stop living your old story.

People act like Charles and Francis doing it at Bunny’s funeral is some kind of win which is so weird to me, because it’s horribly tragic. The situation was Francis taking advantage of Charles’s alcoholism to get what he wanted. After the service, he goes into the bathroom with a bottle of alcohol which is implied to be used as a motivation for Charles. This moment indicates that, in the end, Bunny was right. He was right about Charles’s drinking. Due to his addiction, Charles stooped to abusing his sister and selling himself to someone he didn’t love. Bunny was also right to make a point of not being alone with Francis. Francis is predatory. I’m sorry but this scene made me so damn depressed. I get this book has satirical elements and therefore things are darkly funny in moments but, man, this was so sad.
😭😭😭
for the holidays, how do you think the secret history characters would road rage? I think Henry would discreetly eye the driver he’s on the road with and mutter something foul in a different language.
TSH spoilers:
I feel like we as a fandom do not talk about Henry’s symbolism in TSH enough. Like, that dude is the literal embodiment of death, and I just think it’s so damn cool. I mean, his whole obsession with language and literature stemmed from the fact that he almost died in a car accident. And then every death we see in the book (the farmer’s, Bunny’s, and his very own) is directly at his hands. The others were accomplices, sure, but Henry’s the one who takes action every time. And in Francis’s failed suicide and Richard’s near death in the epilogue, they both see Henry, not Bunny or Charles or what have you.
Henry is not only obsessed with death, he IS death. He’s the reaper who’s friends toy with their mortality all the time through drugs and booze. The reason they all admire him is not only because of his size and stature and brilliance; it’s because he’s dangerous. If beauty is indeed terror, than he’s the most beautiful of them all. They all have the life preservation skills of a fly, so of course they love Henry. And of course his actions constantly bring them closer to danger and death.
When your card declines at therapy and they make you read when Bunny was pushed off the ravine and how his ‘friends’ acted as if he was merely an inconvenience when the snow started falling.
