Disabling the phone (That pun was just cruel arrest me already I'm sorry) EYE Phone AU.

Mephone didn't remember how it happened, he just remembered hearing his own scream, and then Mepad crying out.

He opened his eyes, but saw nothing. Was he not opening his eyes?? He reached to his face, and gasped, flinching as his hand had traced what he felt to be a-

No, he couldn't be-

But he was. He gently traced the cracks that ran over his eyes, his a line that was slightly wobbly until it got over his left eye on which it diverged into two paths.

Mephone begged whatever was out there that it wasn't permanent. 'Who am I kidding?' The device thought. 'I should know better than to hope and lead myself on like that. I just need to stay calm, find Mepad and-'

'The contestants.'

How would the contestants react? Would they worry? Would they make fun of him? Try to use this to their advantage? Would they ask what happened? He'd be able to stop Mepad from asking questions, but some of the contestants might still be curious. He couldn't let them see him like this.

How would he hide it from them if he couldn't even see where they were? Didn't matter, as long as he could buy himself enough time to make a solution ('Still clinging onto hope? Really?')

For now, he had to stay calm. Which he could do..yeah, he could do this, and everything would be fine.

'NOPE NO THANK YOU GOODBYE NOT DOING THIS TODAY' the phone thought as he ran, tripping over himself multiple times. Desperately he called out ''MEPAD?!? MEPAD?!?''

But nobody heard him. He was alone, he couldn't see, every noise felt threatening, and he couldn't see and he didn't even know WHY-

The blinded object tripped on something, sending him toppling over, getting smacked against the ground.

He couldn't take it anymore, he learned that he couldn't even form actual tears anymore.

he was a blinded phone who was crying because he tripped over what had felt like a rock. He felt pathetic.

"Sir?!?"

He felt something- Someone, Mepad, who else calls him sir and sounds like that?- Kneel beside him. He didn't bother to look up, it no longer mattered where he looked, he would no longer be able to see anything, his show, cookies, his contestants, Mepad- He had lost everything because of a crack he didn't even remember the origin of.

"Sir, what happened!?!" Mephone finally 'looked' up, sitting on his knees. He heard a gasp from Mepad, and felt around in that direction. Finding Mepad, he dragged them into a hug.

Mephone started speaking"I- I can't - I can't see - I woke up and I couldn't see anything, Why did this-" he couldn't finish the sentence as his voice caught, and he continued to cry with no tears while embracing Mepad, and could feel the ground change beneath them from branches leaves and rocks to short grass.

He knew where they were without having to see it. Desperately he looked around at nothing, hoping to gain Mepad's attention with eye contact.

"please, wait- you can't let the contestants see, alright? Who knows how they'll react"

"But sir-"

"Please."

" ...alright sir, I won't tell them. "

"MEPHONE!!!"

It was his contestants calling, Mepad stood up, forcing Mephone4 up as well, Mepad pushed Mephone A bit, and seemingly stood in front of him from what the phone could tell.

It was time to convince the contestants everything was fine. He held into Mepad's side like a shy child hiding from their parent's friends, and he felt incredibly stupid for it, but he couldn't bring himself to let go and possibly lose Mepad, he just couldn't. So he held in and waited for the contestants voices to get closer.

End of part 1, hope you all liked it, Mephone always forgetting Toilet though poor thing. Anyways I already know what'll go down next time, so it'll come out soon most likely but right now I'm feeling kind of sick and am seriously hoping that doesn't effect my writing in any way. See you next time hopefully, hope it wasn't too disappointing, might rewrite later in the right mind.

But! If you want to go even further with the evidence: In this post, Justin himself says that “[He] always felt that PayJay (a ship with a character he voices) is a pretty cool ship).”

Besides, we (Minuet and I) both find it ridiculous to tell someone who is, under the transmitter's point of view, “uninformed” (someone who, under the point of view of someone who thinks it's a proship, likely doesn't know) to “get their senses together”. That's just plain rude. Even if it was a proship, there is a clear lack of tact in this ask, and articulating it differently could have made a different, likely more positive impact. Going “hey, this ship is problematic jsyk” is less aggressive, and in the case that the person /is/ in fact uninformed, can be taken more lightly and solved more amicably.

(But of course, Tumblr is not always amicable, is it?)

In the second post attached, Justin also says that we as a community should value our own sense of interpretation as long as it doesn't go completely against the canon of the show. Which it doesn't, because Toilet and MePad literally make up in canon! And they are shown to be friends after T&B! Even after MYOB, you've got to accept that if they aren't in good terms, MePad did everything he could to convince MePhone to let Toilet stay. Toilet is very compassionate, and even if they’re stuck in a strange desencuentro, he would definitely know this.

Yes, MePad not helping him definitely would leave a mark in their relationship, but that doesn't make the ship abusive or toxic in any way. They were stuck in the middle of a chain of unhealed generational trauma, but none of them are abusive. It's all a petty one-sided conflict for MePhone4’s attention. Toilet doesn't know how to react to being thrown aside, so he develops a strange unrequited rivalry towards MePad. The thing is though! They make up! They communicate their feelings to one another!

Is Toilet hateable under popular perspective? Probably. He's clumsy, loud, not very bright and made for you to either hate him or laugh at him. But that doesn't mean that he isn't a character worth analyzing. He deserves love, which he never receives, even after 14 episodes of dealing with what he deals with. I know it's silly to sympathize with a fictional toilet, but he really does deserve more development and closure for his arc, and as Minuet has expressed in the past, MePad (character) has what it takes to break the cycle and provide him with the affection that he needs. (We're guiding ourselves based off our own analyses of II S2 and canon itself, btw. Not any theories.)

Conclusion: Leave ToiPad and its shippers alone. It is not a problematic ship. Neither of them are abusive, Justin is not uncomfortable with ships of the characters they voice, and it is most definitely Not inc*stuous and/or p*dophilic.

EYE phone AU: 'EYE' miss your face *insert knee slap here* (disclaimer: I like Toilet but Mephone is an unreliable narrator so he'll be called mean names sorry)

Mephone waited patiently for the contestants by Mepad, standing nervously behind them. It was slightly humiliating, but it was better than the contestants knowing about the situation.

" MISTAH PHONNNNNEEEEEEEE" the annoying voice of Toilet screamed loudly right next to the two electronics. Mephone groaned internally.

"MISTA PHONEE, OH YOU'VE NEW GONE SO LONG WHERE-" "Not no- not now, Toilet. Get me so- some wires ASAP." Toilet stopped, it was obvious he wanted to ask more questions, but instead the toilet for once acted wise and called out that he wouldn't let Mephone down and most likely ran off considering the brief silence.

He could hear distant voices, and knew it had to be his contestants, and they sounded like they were getting closer. Mephone braced himself as the voices were now close enough to be understood.

"Mephone! Where have you been? You disappeared after telling us we were in danger! What's the danger? Can we stop it? Are you back because you stopped it? And why are you hiding behind Mepad???"

" I... "

What.

The contestants were in danger? That was terrible! Think of the lawsuits! ('Think of the contestants wellbeing.')

And he was gone for a couple days? Why? What was he doing?

Why couldn't he remember anything anymore? What was going on anymore??? How did he get the crack??? Where had he gone???

Mephone started speaking to the contestants, trying his best to stay calm.

"Everything is - every - ever - fine and my assistant Mepad here will be here to tell you how everything is - Assistant -fine and there is no need to wo- worr- worry, right Mepad? Everything's - mepad - normal! " Was his crack really causing this glitching stutter? Really? Now, when he was trying to act normal?

For a long moment Mepad stayed silent, and for a long moment Mephone was almost about they wouldn't go along with the lie. then Mepad spoke up again, "I can confirm everything is alright. I will tell you how everything has stayed exactly the same right now"

And Mephone took that as time to leave. His plan was flawless, as long as Mepad distracted everyone he would be able to run far enough away to stop needing to hide. He couldn't see anything wrong with this plan.

And as he started running he realized he couldn't see at all.

And fell face first.

Then he remembered Toilet would be coming back.

'Darn it.'

"MISTA PHONEEEEEEEEEEE YOUR SCREEEEN!!!!!" Toilet wailed louder than ever before when Mephone pushed himself up, and Mephone flinched and thought his screen might crack more until Toilet stopped. The other objects must have heard the screeching, it was impossible not to when it reached the level of Mic's volume

"no, no, - fine fi- I'm- no, I'm fine,. My screen is - no, no, I- is fine!" Mephone covered his eyes and the crack as best he could and spoke as fast as he could with the glitching. He could hear the contestants getting closer, and it was too late to run.

"Mephone? What ar- Woah, what happened to your screen?!?" Asked an object, who Mephone was going to guess was... Paintbrush? Probably? It didn't matter.

"Nothing hap- happe- who- happened to my screen, I feel perfectly --happened to my sc-- fine." Mephone said, he knew the contestants were there but the silence reminded him of when he was running around frantically looking for Mepad. It made him feel lost, and unsure of himself.

"Hey, if he's broken, maybe Testube can fix him? She's a scientist, she could probably find a way to fix him!" An object who was probably suitcase said. It was a good idea, so why did Mephone hate it? The logic checked out, yet Mephone felt dread at the idea, despite the fact it would benefit him greatly.

"Alright," the voice of Testtube spoke, sounding much closer than the others, " Mephone, could you remove your hands from your screen? " Mephone didn't move and after a bit, somebody gently held both his hands, carefully moving them away from his eyes.

"Hey- wait a minute-" He tried to protest but froze at the gasps from his contestants. He could hear somebody (probably fan) say ''Fascinating!'' And he scowled.

"Hm, " the scientific object exclaimed, " the crack goes through the middle of both your eyes which seems to have not only changed their color, but also split them through the middle. Seeing as your eyes aren't really focusing on anything I am going to assume this is effecting your vision, is your eyesight more blurry than you remember? Having trouble seeing from far away, maybe?"

Mephone sat there, and considered lying. He made up his mind, actually, he would lie about it. Why should he tell them, anyways?

"I- I can't- don't ask m- can't see... Don't as- can't se- ask me how- I can't reme- rememb - remem - remember... " He closed his eyes so that nobody would see them anymore... Why did he tell them? He knew this was a bad idea, he should never have let them question him, he was the host, he made the rules-

And then he felt somebody press into his screen, though it was cautious and and almost even gentle it reminded-

It reminded him of...

No...

NO,

NO-

NO, WAIT-

-----

'WAIT, DON'T -'

A HAND PRESSED AGAINST HIS SCREEN-

'STOP, STOP PLEASE-'

IT BURNED IT BURNED IT HURT TOO MUCH STOP-

IT MOVED ACROSS HIS EYES HE COULDN'T SEE AND IT HURT-

And then the burning became a mere ache as if it was only his imagination. he almost felt numb, he could hear objects panicking, but it was too distant to make out.

He honestly didn't care enough to listen, he blacked out, wondering what he had just been thinking about. Must've been interesting.
