My new 3D project, The Bat!
I decided to try my hand at hand drawn animation lately. I haven't done this since art college. I'm pretty rusty, but I do love it.
My first art to be made on my new PC tablet.Don't forget the bologna in your slacks for the New Year.
See you space cowboy....
I just finished my paper cutout art for my brother's Bday gift. Shhh... don't tell him, it's going in the mail on Monday.
For the past couple of months I've been creating sketches for the students in my mother's class. She is retiring after 33 years of teaching in May. Because I wasn't able to draw with her students in class, I decided to take requests. I needed to make 18 drawings for 18 kids. The requests were puppies, kittens, angry birds, super heroes, and even the King of Pop himself; Michael Jackson. They also drew me drawings included with their letters. I just wanted to share this project with everyone. Hopefully one of her students will decide to try their hand at a career in the creative industry.
I came across an excellent model sheet of Gadget from Tony Shelton. http://tobyshelton.blogspot.com/2010/09/gadget-model-sheet-rescue-rangers-1988.html I decided to practice my line work and coloring on her. She was after all my first cartoon crush as a kid.
Heeeeere's Harley...

My new favorite tumblr site. I could watch these all day.
I had sometime at work to paint Spyro. I'm just trying to amp up my digital painting skills, plus I like the purple little guy. I'm kind of a stickler for the original Insomniac Games design.
A bit back I created a 3D bust off of a great Fox McCloud drawing created by the talented Beth Turnsek Thanks Beth! Watch this space for more 3D work, it's kind of my bag.
Recent papercraft project, I think Mickey looks damn spiffy in Jack's threads.
I watched a great documentary last night about the guys behind games such as “Fez” and “Super Meat Boy.” Now, I’m not a gamer in the least, though I do have a nostalgic spot for the days of the orignal “Super Mario Bros.” and “Legend of Zelda.” So this doc appealed to me on that level, but...
I'm getting a new drum kit, so this is in celebration of my favorite drum mentor.
I <3 Game of Thrones, HBO series and books.
They were always a huge influence and supporter of my art antics. I miss them so much.
