I’m doing a Philosophy paper on Asexuality. Please reblog if you think Love without Sex is possible! I really need the data. Like if you think love has to have sex.
THANKYOU 💥‼️‼️‼️‼️
queen coral! i had to pull up so many references for her colors lmfao. i think she turned out really pretty in the end
hello wings of fire fandom i make my return but, this time, with OC art! this is my nightwing oc ophelia who was designed by honeybeest and i love them dearly
currently using a sling to keep my left arm from moving too much and irritating it further. Downside is the sling is very, very old and the strap is disintegrating on my neck, as old foam does
TW: needle mention (no images)
POV: The doctor puts the needle too high in your arm (like, waaaaay too high) and now you get to spend a day experiencing what it’s like to live with one arm (the arm hurts too much to move beyond simple hand gestures that involve no shoulder use)
I bet if a mushroom could lap water out of your hand with a tongue that a gently drinking mushroom tongue on your hand would be the softest and gentlest thing.
@cedarwhisp I figured it out!
ok, so, I skimmed the book and:
essentially, Clearsight never actually CALLS them “BeetleWings”, she simply compares them to beetles:
[Image ID: Picture of a book page reading “Like dragonflies, she realized remembering the delicate insects darting across the ponds in the mountain meadows. Or butterflies, or beetles.” end image ID]
(entry from The Lost Continent, Prologue)
So I checked the conversation with Lady Scarab, and SHE never mentions it either!
In fact, what SHE says is:
“Maybe they weren’t called SilkWings back then. ShimmerWings or Flibbergibbets or something in the old language, I don’t know. But Clearsight married one, and then another one when the first one died, and had an alarming number of dragonets with each one, and then their dragonets and their dragonets’ dragonets kept going, marrying Ye Olde SilkWings or what have you, until there were enough of them to be considered their own tribe. HiveWings.” (The Hive Queen, pages 182-183)
So, yes and no? I’ll have to look at The Poison Jungle, I didn’t realize they talked about it there, too.
here’s the evolution tree for reference! Also explains why Mudwings look so much like SeaWings*
*none of these are to scale
