I am painfully serious about being spec-less for the finale but I'll tell you what I do have. An extremely good fucking feeling
What I HOPE happens in the finale is that Buck and Eddie realize their respective romantic interests aren’t what they need, and that Buck and Eddie meet in the middle, on Eddie’s couch, and talk about how they’re each other’s constant. Fade to black, implied buddie canon.
Never liked Fox anyways
I feel like Natalia would fall into a sort of Buck has to have gotten hurt first before getting attention.
Has anyone ever talked about Buck and his mommy issues when it comes to relationships?
So, there’s this thing about you tend to date/marry people who either look like you or hold similar traits to your family members. It’s some evolutionary stuff that is something idk, but it’s a thing like a lot of the time.
Margaret was absent, she was there physically, but emotionally and mentally closed off to Buck unless he was hurt. He worked to earn her affection. He worked to earn her approval.
Abby— Buck worked to make her like him. She was older (not that she was mom age, but this is a boy who doesn’t really know healthy relationships with people older than him). She cancelled on him a lot, making her kinda absent. She then literally abandoned him.
Ali— Didn’t like seeing him get hurt, to the point where she also left him. With her brown hair she looks similar to JLH (random due to casting, but still). Very touchy feely in the way Margaret (in a motherly way) wasn’t. Coerced Buck into choices like a mother would. There’s not much about Ali, she wasn’t around for long.
Taylor— Absent a lot both physically and emotionally. Keeping secrets, like Buck could probably feel his family was even if he couldn’t tie it to Daniel at the time. Open with her wants. Driven and loud, against Margaret’s quiet and contained. Kissed Buck after he was nearly killed, like his mom only caring when he got hurt.
I can’t think of more stuff. I know there is.
The point being, Buck has always been with people who feed into his mommy issues.
Even with Natalia, he’s impressing her for her affection.
Either the writers were doing it on purpose, or it was just a crazy coincidence.

Now, here’s the buddie part of this because I may not think the writers are going to take it there, but…
Eddie doesn’t feed into any of it, in a good way. He’s attentive to his own son, and to Buck. He trusts Buck. He worries about Buck’s safety, yes, but not because he can’t take seeing Buck get hurt but because he just doesn’t want to see Buck hurt. The difference being how Buck’s mom couldn’t see a kid in a hospital because of how it impacted her and how Ali left because of Buck’s impact on her. Eddie doesn’t want Buck hurt because of how it impacts Buck, which in turn could impact Eddie, but he’s not thinking of himself. You get me? Eddie comes when Buck calls. Eddie comes when Buck doesn’t call. He doesn’t have to work to make Eddie like him. No climbing trees for him.
This makes Eddie more like Maddie. Someone who Buck loves and loves Buck in return, no questions asked.
The way Eddie’s love for Buck is clearly unconditional, but Eddie himself likely feels his love is unworthy.
Actual footage of my mom yelling at me after I screamed about Chris falling asleep on the couch:
I jus j I just rembered the couch theory
I’m sure it’s happened in other fandoms, but 911 is the first fandom where I’ve seen people get upset that other people are attracted to a woman.
“did the show runners wanna go back to their glee roots?“ gave me a chuckle lol
So Grace and her sisters are singing in tonight's ep?
Like Maddie yesterday, did the show runners wanna go back to their glee roots?
If there's a musical ep for either show I will have to decline and skip it.
(Buddie could be confirmed, Athena could dress up as Storm and Crace could meet Athena, still couldn't watch without cringing)
this felt like a transitional episode of sorts, like a launch pad for the rest of the season, what with ravi returning, eddie acknowledging he maybe does want to get back out there, chimney (my most beloved my man my one and only) realising a different side of his potential, hen welcoming nathaniel for her son even in spite of her reservations, and buck taking accountability! and last but certainly not the least, we heard maddie sing🥺 it was a very warm hug of an episode, i'm so excited for everything that's to come this season <3
Guys, Eddie telling Pepa he doesn't want to be alone, him not being interested in all the WOMEN he was set up with, Buck Chris and Eddie being a family unit last episode, THE COUCH THEORY!
I'm still going strong guys idgaf.
RAVI IS COMING HOME RAAAAAAAAA LETS GOOOOOOO
Skewed results, no ravi
Where is Ravi?
ACTUALLY I WILL SAY THIS AGAIN
Sounds like gay repression to me -\_('~')_/-
Eddie worked harder to make sure him and Buck worked out more than him with his own wife
-\_('~')_/-
idgaf it is totally canon that eddie diaz steals and wears buck’s clothes.
-\_(’^’)_/-
I feel like those characters in a glue trap everytime I think about buddie poker date.
I need to make one of them
I've got unlimited access to photoshop, and I will be making unhinged edited photos of them -
FUCK
shout out to hen that, when she realized that eddie was no longer able to answer chris’s questions (after “what are those tubes”), she answered for him, trying to make herself understood as best she could and remaining calm, completely different from eddie who was slowly starting to lose control. and when chris starts talking to buck and eddie starts crying openly, despite trying to remain stoic, hen looks at him, tears in her eyes, and does nothing. bc she understands what it feels like to see the love of your life in that state and she knows the sense of helplessness, and she knows that talking to him, going to hug him, would do absolutely nothing. you can’t ease the pain of that situation.
we’re 24 hours out and that feels like a lifetime so i might just have to rewatch all the pivotal buddie episodes tonight to cope 🧐
This reminded me I finally have Hulu again and can rewatch my favs ♥️♥️♥️♥️

9-1-1 ▸ 3 times buck drove eddie vs 1 time eddie drove buck
SOMEBODY SEDATE ME!
the 911 fandom in general, on all social media except maybe reddit, is really bad at taking other less popular’s people idea’s and not giving credit. Happened to me once back in s5, took my screenshot and everything.
Literally just saw a post someone popular on here posted and it very much verbatim my theory about where Buck’s gonna recover from the coma. Like, I know a lot of people are thinking the same thing… but they used the exact same things I said nearly exactly.
Anywayyy it was my theory first lol
Something about Eddie telling his own wife to be silent when she was dying, but begging Buck to respond and talk to him when he was actually dead makes me a little insane.
