Fic First Lines Tag

Listen, sometimes a ship is less about wanting them to kiss or have sex or whatever, and more about needing them to be so endlessly intertwined and connected to the point where they might as well be one creature.

“Moons, I have an important question.”

Remus looked up from his book, only half paying attention. Because, since getting together a month ago, Sirius asked ‘important questions’ a lot. Some of them included, but were certainly not limited to:

Would you love me if I were a worm?

Would you love me if I turned into a dog and ate all of your homework?

Would you love me if I lost all my teeth?

Would you love me if I was bald?

And, Remus’s personal favorite, and the one that confused him the most, would you love me if I was never born?

Of course, Remus answered yes to all of these, because he’d known Sirius for almost five years, so he knew how to placate him. 

So he expected this question to be the same.

“Would you still love me if I dressed like a girl sometimes?”

But now, Remus gave his boyfriend his full attention, because the question seemed to hold more weight. 

“Of course I would, baby,” he replied earnestly, looking over and meeting Sirius’s eyes. “Do you…really think I wouldn’t?”

“Dunno,” Sirius mumbled, playing with a loose thread in his blanket. “You don’t think it’s weird?”

Remus chuckled and moved to sit next to him, grabbing his hand. “I think you’re weird. But however you want to dress, I’ll always think you’re stunning. And I’ll never stop loving you. I promise.”

Gray, tear-filled eyes finally met his own, and Remus momentarily was breathless. “I’m still a boy,” Sirius murmured.

“Even if you weren’t,” Remus swore, “I love you for you.”

At this, Sirius smiled a bit. “What if I were a snail?”

Remus froze and let out a long-suffering sigh, then grabbed a nearby pillow and hit Sirius over the head with it.

i miss you / i'm right here

i think it would be sirius' personal mission to make remus look less like one strong gust of wind could finish him off. which means sirius always made a point of sitting next to remus during meals in the great hall. remus would often pick at his food because his appetite was ruined by the toll of his monthly transformations. sirius would pile remus’s plate high with everything he thought the boy needed—roast chicken, mashed potatoes, treacle tart, you name it, it's on remus' plate, and then threaten (affectionately) to feed him himself if he didn't start getting on with it. james would 100% back him at this endeavour as a certifiably insane mother hen ♡

sirius: we NEED to put some meat on all those bones! i can almost see through you!

remus: it sounds like you're trying to fatten me up like a sacrificial lamb, black *shoves some more mashed potatoes in his mouth*

it’s so bittersweet to be saying goodbye to this version of Remus and this little universe but i’m really happy with where it ends and i’m very proud of it. and i have more fics in the works! i have several ideas planned out and have already begun drafting the next one

sometimes i get kinda sad that my tumblr is like 98% reblogs and the other 2% is just when i post a fic but literally i do not know what to say here hldjsbfkkd i just never know what to say!!!!

3 ships i like: Wolfstar obviously, Wolfstarbucks, and ummmmmm. hmm…tbh i’m not sure there is another? i really don’t ship characters that often 😭 (editing this to add prongsfoot! prongsfoot is cute on occasion! yes i clearly have very specific tastes)

first ship ever: the very earliest was probably percabeth? or hinny? idk. but i didn’t care super strongly about either (also i do Not ship hinny anymore HAHA at that age i very much just happily went along with any canon ships presented). the first ship i actually like read fics about and stuff was destiel i think. or drarry, not sure which was first. really exposing myself here 😭😭😭

favorite childhood book: suppose it depends how early we’re talking but other than HP i loved the Magic Treehouse series a lot! oh and Rainbow Magic omg

currently reading: fanfic wise, aka the more interesting part, I Didn’t Come Here to Party, I Only Came for the Cake by attheendoftheday. It’s a gbbo au with messy flawed sirius and mysterious remus (who’s also chronically ill!), very cute, sweet, lighthearted (so far, there’s some mental health stuff in the last few chapters). book wise, just a few books for classes - Gaming Sexism by Amanda Cote, Medieval Tastes by Massimo Montanari, and bits and pieces of others.

currently watching: nothing actually! just finished the babysitter’s club a few days ago so i am tv show-less now.

currently consuming: i just ate a bowl of granola bc cereal for lunch is superior

currently craving: sleeeeeep always 😭 or friendly company tbh.
