This is to all the kids out there who are stressing out about something:
1. Stop what you’re doing. STOP.
2. Why are you stressed?
3. Take a deep breath and close your eyes.
4. Take another deep breath.
5. Is it really worth stressing over this?
6. Open your eyes and look at wherever you are.
7. Do you want to tell your future kids that this is what you did? Stressed? Or that you conquered obstacles without much stress?
8. Drink a class of water of eat something.
9. Clean your desk/bed/room/wherever you are right now.
10. Get back to what you were stressing about.
the purest form of love, i think, is having someone who wants to learn about you, from you, and with you.
Sometimes you’re 23 and standing in the kitchen of your house making breakfast and brewing coffee and listening to music that for some reason is really getting to your heart. You’re just standing there thinking about going to work and picking up your dry cleaning. And also more exciting things like books you’re reading and trips you plan on taking and relationships that are springing into existence. Or fading from your memory, which is far less exciting. And suddenly you just don’t feel at home in your skin or in your house and you just want home but “Mom’s” probably wouldn’t feel like home anymore either. There used to be the comfort of a number in your phone and ears that listened every day and arms that were never for anyone else. But just to calm you down when you started feeling trapped in a five-minute period where nostalgia is too much and thoughts of this person you are feel foreign. When you realize that you’ll never be this young again but this is the first time you’ve ever been this old. When you can’t remember how you got from sixteen to here and all the same feel like sixteen is just as much of a stranger to you now. The song is over. The coffee’s done. You’re going to breath in and out. You’re going to be fine in about five minutes.

How to make friends in college
One of the deepest human needs is the need to be seen. To be seen in our pain and in our struggle and to be seen in our relief and in our joy. And usually we reserve these moments for those closest to us because we know they will try their best to hold space for us.
So imagine when The Creator and Sustainer of the heavens and the earth, tells us He sees us, He witnesses all of us, with all of our complexity and all of our emotions, how validating and comforting this is.
You are not alone in your pain and struggle and you are witnessed in your relief and joy. You are held under the sight of A Most Caring Creator, He knows the innermost yearnings of your heart. He knows when no one else knows and understands when others can't.

Resting on the empty bench of nostalgia while observing how everything around it is being renewed.. I stand, and walk forward.. leaving my place on the bench to a passerby. Without looking back, I bid you farewell.

“fernweh [feyrn-vey]”
— (noun) This wonderful, untranslatable German word describes the feeling of homesickness for a far away land, a place you have never visited. Do not confuse this with the english word, wanderlust; Fernweh is much more profound, it is the feeling of an unsatisfied…
