hate being the generation that remembers no ads on YouTube & the annoyance when we first saw 1 ad every 10 videos, then 1 every 5 videos, then on every video, then multiple ads within a single video, only for YouTube to market paying for Premium™️ to ‘get rid of ads!’ which weren’t even there at the start
oh for real though
ah yes, love seeing my son in distress 😌

I can’t get over how much Brian and Freddie seemed to connect through music. Even though they had different styles, it’s so obvious that it bound them together, too.
It’s in Freddie writing ‘Soul Brother’ for Brian to cheer him up, then telling him ‘it just needs your touch on it’; it’s in how Brian wrote songs with Freddie in mind, giving him an outlet to express his sexuality through Queen’s music, and always pushed to get the best vocal performance out of him.
It’s in them writing ‘Bijou’ together and how you can feel the pain that they both poured into it. It’s in Brian writing ‘The Show Must Go On’ from Freddie’s perspective at a time where he was literally slipping through their fingers, basing the song around Freddie’s intense love of music and his determination to carry on until the end. It’s in Brian writing the lines of ‘Mother Love’ on little scraps of paper knowing that Freddie was desperate for something to sing, then finishing off the vocals when Freddie couldn’t.
It is how, even after his death, Brian continously thinks about the impact and meaning behind Freddie’s songs. And, of course, it’s in how he sings ‘Love of My Life’ because he feels as if it “brings Freddie back with him” after all of the years of them playing it alone on stage together.
