Though the jokes that "since gay pride month is over, july is now gay wrath month" are funny and all, it's important to remember that July is ACTUALLY Disability Pride Month and y'all should really be focused on boosting disabled voices and issues this month! For instance, the fact that marriage equality doesn't actually truly exist in the United States for disabled people, or the fact that disabled people are forced to live in poverty or lose their disability benefits, or the fact that 1 in 5 people with chronic pain end up sufferring from alcoholism or other addictions, or how accessibility is still a daily battle for all of us, or how there are active hate groups on places like reddit who try to "call out" those they see as "faking" their disabilities.
This July, boost disabled voices. Talk about the issues that our community faces. Call out ableism.
To this day I stand by the belief that her design f*cking ROCKS and killing her after 5 minutes was a hate crime.
Qrow becoming a father figure to Mercury is such an underrated scenario it hurts me. Besides Qrow's personal villain being Tyrian who is tormenting Mercury as we speak, their individual narratives, albeit on opposite sides of the war, complement each-other so well.
Qrow saw no value in his life because of his semblance bringing harm to those he loved so he isolated himself in addiction and pledged unconditional loyalty to someone who lied and (to an extent) used him. Mercury had his semblance taken away from him for being "weak", which led him to reduce his personal value to strength, latching onto anyone to whom his skillset as an assassin can be useful in exchange for safety.
At least an interaction over their self hatred leading them to unhealthily follow people who gave them value and purpose, even if treated as a means to an end.
I just think that Winter

I saw a post today that really saddened me and so I felt the need to put this out there for everyone. Fandoms can be a lot of fun, but not always, so in case you needed to hear that today...
You'll never be a bad person for liking X. Liking a character doesn't mean you condone their actions. You're allowed to find an antagonist interesting. You're allowed to find comfort in a controversial character. You're allowed to love a character and it never gives anyone the right to attack you or ruin your day.
You're allowed to like or find comfort in Enji Todoroki or Akito Soma. You're allowed to like or wish things had gone differently for James Ironwood or Raven Branwen. You're allowed to like Edelgard or Dimitri despite their flaws. Liking a character doesn't make you an abuser. Liking a character doesn't make you a bootlicker. It doesn't make you a fascist. It doesn't mean you're down for murder. It doesn't make you a bad person.
You can like anyone for so many reasons. It doesn't mean you agree with them or condone their actions. It doesn't reflect on who you are as a person.
Don't attack people for simply liking a character. You have NO IDEA why they do or what's going on in their lives. Be kind to each other. We watch & read & play to have fun, to comfort ourselves. We go on Tumblr or Twitter or Instagram to find kinship. What's the point if we become each others' enemy ?
You can disagree about characters, you can find their actions appaling, you can argue that X character is a terrible person. That's fine ! Some characters ARE terrible people and their bad actions aren't acknowledged enough. But you DON'T get to hurt or wish harm upon someone for simply liking a character.
