Studying is endless, but here’s a nice picture
I’m honestly kind of digging the silver tone.
Today I studied:
Calc 3
Linear Algebra
And Physics 🙃 (sometimes I can’t stand this field, but I shall persevere)
Also, does anyone have any tips on HOW to study? It’s new to me 😔
Today was pretty good, I got most of my calc 3 homework done, and still found time to catch up on most of my linear algebra notes.
Sending positive and productive vibrations
found this gem of a... poem? in my notes app. enjoy.
I’m starting to feel like I’m getting this studying thing down.
Hey bro, just so you dont get anyone who yells at you for no reason, reposting is when you take the content from someone else's post and put it in your own without crediting them, or sometimes even with crediting them. Reblogging is when you hit that funky reblog button that automatically gives credit to the original poster, and any notes on that post go to the OP. I just noticed you use the word repost weird
It was an honest mistake. I’m happy you caught that. It will be corrected here soon.
Cheers friend 😎
I wish you all a relaxed yet productive day ✌🏿
Physics HW and Calc 3 notes are on the board today

I really need this quarter to end. I animated a short video for our STEM club in 2 days between homework and work and I am exhausted. I got to work with video editing which I haven’t done in years and that was nice. But animation is so much work, I am so amazed by the stuff people make for fun. You guys are incredible. Just a few more days and then I can sleep normally again. 😪
Conquering the Why School? Essay
From a student who got into MIT & the Ivy League
I’ve read many Why School? essays. These often come across as generic, with no real indication of interest. I’m here to make sure you don’t make the same mistakes in your essays.
-Look up their course catalog. Don’t simply write, “I’m interested in your stellar economics program.” Great, so are hundreds of other applicants. Name-drop a couple of classes and explain why those specific courses appeal to you. It’ll show you’ve done your homework.
-Discuss a few clubs. Colleges want students who will contribute to their campus outside of the classroom. Are you interested in journalism? Talk about joining the school newspaper. Are you a violin virtuoso? Indicate your interest in the orchestra. Or are you into something that isn’t yet available? Say you’ll start a new group!
-Latch onto research opportunities. Schools love students who can contribute to their published papers. Look up ongoing research projects in whatever department you’re interested in (and no, research isn’t only for STEM fields!) and talk about how you’ll get involved.
-Talk about what makes a school unique. Columbia has a Core Curriculum; Princeton has a yearlong bridge program in Bolivia. Why do you want to attend this specific school?
-Touch upon your long-term goals. How will this university help you achieve your goals of becoming a lawyer? How do you want to make the world a better place? Colleges are looking for people who will contribute meaningfully to society.
-Don’t mention rankings or prestige. Harvard already knows it’s world-renowned, it doesn’t need you to stroke its ego. You should be choosing the best school for you, not the best school according to US World & News Report.
Good luck! I’ll also be happy to read your college app essays, feel free to message me :)
Shout out to @messy-does-cosmology for putting in work, and being a good friend.

This date is kinda fraudulent because it's past midnight now, but I'm giving myself a pass on being accurate because I am exahsted and I did about 10 hours of work today. I don't know if I've ever done that much work before in a day. Anyway I've been working on my research project report, and it's at 5500 words now out of about 6400 I need as the minimum for a first, so I only need to do roughly another thousand words to be in the clear (bibliographys don't count). I had a bit of a breakthrough because I worked out how to use the proper SDSS explore tool and it has been... life changing. I'm definitely going to be able to write another 1000+ words about my topic before I hand it in on Wednesday.
Day 29: Name your own aesthetic! What's an aesthetic you'd like to try out? I don't want to pretend to be a complex human being here but I really struggle to "try out" new aesthetics, because I feel very dismorphic about my own appearance often enough as is. Dressing like myself involves lots of primary colours, big jeans and a little shirt, or big jeans and a big shirt. I don't recognise myself otherwise. And if I were to name an aesthetic, it would be called astronomercore. It would involve a lot of fleece jumpers and thick jeans and gloves. And like maybe a big duvet stuffed in your backpack. Any fellow astronomy bitches will know.
