POV: You realise you’re in too deep with this whole “20 cars go vroom vroom in circles” thing when you’re waking up at 4AM this weekend

› May 26th, 1993 in Munich, it is a little after 10:10 pm, Olympique de Marseille has just won the Champions League against the great AC Milan thanks to a goal by Basile Boli.
“It was a great moment. I was fortunate enough to win it later in my career too, but it didn’t have the same flavour,” said Didier Deschamps, who also won the Champions League in 1995-96 with Juventus. “It’s marvellous in Marseille when you win a trophy.” “It was a childhood dream to play in the European Cup,” added Basile Boli. “But to win it, that stays with you for life.”
Olympique de Marseille becomes the first French club to win a European football cup. From this victory, a non-verbal expression so dear to the people of Marseille would follow: “A jamais les premiers” (Forever the first)!
› May 26th, 2021 - 28 years have gone by and OM remains the only French club to have won the Champions League.
à jamais les premiers et les seuls - forza om! ⚪🔵
signing a contract that says drivers/personnel passports will be confiscated at race refusal is so beyond sickening and can’t just be looked as an oversight from f1. and i’m pretty sure FOM probably didn’t share that information with the drivers/teams when they agreed the track contract. just another case of money meaning more to f1 bosses than the lives of the people who actually make their sport happen.
they’re stuck together like fucking magnets
