doing another re read of kuro and the amount of detail in these two panels alone is mind boggling

advent calendars are popular among children who celebrate Christmas, building up excitement for weeks before the holiday. each door has a festive gift behind it; oftentimes candy or a small toy, and children open them as soon as they can. as someone who grew up with these, they were the first thing opened every morning without fail.

given Elizabeth hasn’t opened this door yet, either she’s showing major restraint or is preoccupied by something far more important. we see her sitting at a desk with embroidery tools visible, which leads us to the next panel…

her gift to Ciel is a hand embroidered handkerchief, a common and heartfelt gesture between lovers in the Victorian era. my guess is that she is mimicking what the older female figures in her life at the time (likely Angelina or Rachel) are doing with their partners. regardless of the why behind the gift, it’s clear how much she cares through her efforts.

the embroidery is flowery and intricate, symbolizing an innocent, childlike love, and the ‘cuteness’ she’s trying to maintain. on the contrary, there’s bandaids on her fingers, showing the pain she’s been through to complete the work, or maybe it’s from her fencing lessons. either way, her duality is on full display.

and she’s SO proud of herself, you can see it on her face. it’s amazing! yana really did an amazing job making an 11 year old girl complex.

There is much we do not know about Grim, and just as much that he does not know about himself!

Grim says that he does not remember his family and he doesn't seem to know where he came from or how it is that he arrived at NRC, reacting with surprise at how remote the island is, which asks how he got there (and from where).

He is also constantly surprising the other characters with how little he knows about Twisted Wonderland itself, being unfamiliar with basic information like major holidays, major historical figures, popular sports, blot, many foods, and even the Great Seven.

Grim remembers wearing his ribbon and being called "Grim the digger" back home, but there have been no clues about what that "home" is or was.

CLAMP SCHOOL DETECTIVES CD DRAMA FILE 2 TRACK 1

CD Drama File 2 has 5 tracks like File 1.

Track 1+2 is the story of Suoh and Nagisa's date.

Track 3 is instrumental music during the break.

Track 4+5 is a case of finding an antique, Rijichou asks the Clamp school detectives team to help her find a piece of an ancient mirror.

Because it's a CD, it's all dialogue, so based on the context, I used the dialogue to rewrite it into a story.

I just finished track 1, which is only half of Suoh and Nagisa's story, but it already very long but listening to the CD while reading, it feels very interesting.
