the adhd feeling of being unable to stop reading books as a kid, sneaking books into class, hiding books in your textbook, keeping a second copy of the same book for when the teacher inevitably confiscated the first one. Books falling out of your bag, books hidden in your hoodie pocket, books dribbling out of your eyeballs and taking over your daydreams. Just. The absolute dopamine fueled obsession of reading as an adhd kid. So. Many. Books.
and 10 years later, being completely utterly distraught and distractedly… unable to focus on a goddamn book
not to minimize the gravity of war, but i need more people to know about:
bicycles have several advantages over horses & fuel-powered vehicles, with the result that bicycle infantry has in fact played a significant role in 20th century warfare...
it turns out that warfare sometimes involves battalions of bicycle-riding soldiers. (and while i personally am sick of war films, I'm willing to make an exception here because there really needs to be a movie about this.)
I'd phrase it more this way: it is made to remind everyone (mostly white people) that being queer, trans, or nonbinary is in no way tied to being white. Ex. Trans is not white which means being trans is not tied in any way to the white skin color, which some people tend to *forget* about. And this post is to *remind* them.
Although this is just a different phrasing of the same thought, I don't disagree with you.
Also, it would be cool to see an ND version.
My mother says that fanfiction doesn’t count as reading because “it isn’t nearly as good as the stuff that’s published. You’re not going to find something online that will win a Booker Prize.” Please reblog if you count fan fiction as reading, or if the fanfiction you’ve read is equally as good as published novels. I want to see the figures.
As per usual, I forgot I have boobs now, and should probably care about this more than I used to
not to be like anti-neurotypical or whatever but adhd people with hyperfixtations and autistic people with special interests are like, literally the core of any fandom. all those fics and comics and askblogs that update daily with no signs of stopping? those theory and other fandom blogs that post content so often you wonder how much free time they have? listen, it’s amazing what you can get done when it’s literally the only thing you fucking think about. appreciate your local autistic/adhd content creators.
Reblog this if you’re polyamorous, searching for a cryptid, trying to communicate with demons, willing to throw a Molotov cocktail at a police car, really want more tattoos/piercings, or just really love nonbinary people.
No one will ever know which one 👀
if you can’t manage a single night without your partner, you are unhealthily codependent
If you can’t manage an evening alone while your partner is out having fun, you are unhealthily codependent
The solution to this problem is not to prevent your partner from doing things but to get used to the idea that sometimes you have to be alone
