In honor of Snapeās birthday, I tried sketching him for the first time ever! I wanted to do something for his birthday and I was able to just in time!š Iām really happy with how they came out since itās my first time drawing in QUITE a while⦠and I tried making him look somewhat realistic (not my forte).š
And here is Severus Snape with a Snapchat filter:
In my opinion it was VERY good. I didnāt expect myself to enjoy it as much as I did. I was excited to watch the next one and found myself unable to get enough. I realllllllly loved them!
Some people may think the first movie is a tad slow, but I honestly adored it as well. Though I still canāt decide which movie is my favorite.
Every movie, despite the length, was able to keep my full attention. They were even able to make me emotional! Thatās big for me because Iām not one to really get emotional from movies, especially not as emotional as I did these. Fear, excitement, awe, anger, tearsā¦
SO MANY TEARS!!!
I loved Dobby, the Weasley twins, Snape, etc!~
When I tell you my heart not only broke but SHATTERED at the scenes-
I cried so, so, SO much!!!
I wholeheartedly hated Beatrix and Voldemort SO, SO much⦠those freaking people. I was absolutely ecstatic at their (seemingly) painful deaths.
At first, I hated the Malfoys⦠like, all of them. In the Half-Blood Prince I felt a bit sorry for Draco, but actually felt kind of sorry for all of them at the end. I couldnāt tell if they were running because they didnāt want to risk dying, or if they were free from a control they couldnāt escape before. Lucius Malfoy seemed very disheveled which was very different from how he had appeared in the other movies, so I donāt think fear of dying was the ONLY thing that drove them away running in the last movie.
I also cried some tears during Dumbledoreās death scene. I was honestly surprised that he ended up not being as good as everyone thought he was. (I honestly liked both Dumbledores as well.)
Snapeās death sceneā¦. That tore me to pieces. Seeing what was in his tears didnāt help slow the waterfall coming from my eyes. I noticed that he smiled a bit during his death scene, just barelyā¦
I like to think that itās because Harry was trying to stop his bleeding, so it made him feel nice and cared about that someone was trying to do what they could in the moment to save him, that he was able to see Lilyās eyes one last time before he died (as Harry had his motherās eyes), and lastly that he had done his job and everything he could do to protect Harry.
I think Snape honestly did care about him, with not only him being Lilyās son but also being like his mother with his kindness.
I honestly think that after Snapeās passing he was at peace and happy in whatever paradise he went to.š¤
I think after learning everything, and the whole war with Voldemort calming down, that Harry developed not only respect but a care for Snape, as well.
I also bawled my eyes out when he told his son that his middle name (Severus) was after a Slytherian, and the bravest man he ever knew.
I ended up watching some bloopers, learning about parts that were improvised, and some antics on set. It made me so happy to learn that the actors were such great, kind people and had tons of fun on set. I liked seeing them all laugh and have fun. Itās very sad that many actors from the movie have passed. It breaks my heart. But I am happy that we were all graced with such āacting royaltyā in those movies, as well as so many others they have played in. I honestly couldnāt think of a better actor to fit any of the characters, they were all perfectly picked.
Overall, a WONDERFUL series of movies! The movies also have a plethora of really good quotes. I most certainly recommend them if you havenāt seen them, and to at least give them a chance! :) Now all I have to do is read the books. I am DETERMINED to do so!
Like for realā¦š
(Small rant belowā¦)
I know we have the DSM-5 (which, apparently, is generally more accurate than the ICD) but I feel like bias, perception, and even pharmaceutical companies have big influence on diagnosis (and possibly even what is put in these diagnostic tools).
The things I previously listed in pink (and influence plus inaccurate/false information for big corporate money reasons) donāt help out with misdiagnosis and such.
But in saying that, we DO have the DSM-5 for a reason, so like, maybe look in it instead of basing these solely off perception.š
itās weird to think how many mental disorders are diagnosed less by what the person actually does and more by how others respond to that person. like how in hysterionic personality disorder (off to a great start) a literal diagnostic criteria is the personās emotions donāt seem convincing, which is obviously going to depend hugely upon a doctorās personal bias. and in bpd, though it isnāt a criteria, you hear about clinicians diagnosing people based on theĀ āmeat grinder sensationā (feeling like their own insides are being ground up while talking to their patient), and with autism based on theĀ āwall of glass phenomenonā (feeling like there is a barrier in reaching the person). theyāre such weird ways to talk about people especially when the clinicianās own biases are rarely taken into account.Ā
āAlways~ā
Without a doubt.ā¤ļø
āThere are some who bring a light so great to the world that even after they have gone the light remainsā.
After all this time?
Alan, you will always be loved, never forgotten and remembered forever. We still miss you so, so much ā¤ā¤ā¤
