Notice how the roles associated with these words (wife and husband will always mean entirely different things to them) never change. Only a deeply misogynist society would enshrine the ideals that womanhood can solely be defined by a feeling in a man’s head, but cannot be solely defined by women’s biology, our lived realities (and oppressions) faced by being female sexed.
