Stanguellini’s first contact with the world of record-breaking dated back to 1959 when he took on the task of a general transformation of the Nibbio IV, a voiturette originally constructed in 1956 along the lines of the car promoted by Giovanni Lurani in the 1930s. It was built around a Formula 3 Volpini chassis, powered by a 350 cc single-cylinder Moto Guzzi engine and was bodied by Ghia. These photos show the car at Monza where it broke five medium and long distance records in the hands of Angelo Poggio and Pietro Campanella.
