When Camila brings up diet stuff with the kids, Hunter briefly thinks about admitting his blood thirst but decides against it.

When the incident does happen, Camila blames herself for not noticing sooner. She briefly questions in her head why he didn’t say anything but puts those thoughts down quickly. She apologizes and immediately try’s figuring out ideas to accommodate for his diet.(She’s definitely flipping out but try’s to keep cool for Hunter but this kid she’s been caring for has been starving himself for months and is apparently a ‘cannibal’-)

Hunter feels guilty for Camila and his friends blaming themselves and thinks of himself as a burden and a monster despite them trying to reassure him he’s not.

I think that people sometimes don't understand the kind of abuse Belos put hunter through. He didn't just make him miserable and do nothing but ever hurt him. Hunter wouldnt have been so loyal if he had. Belos manipulated him. He made him think it was his own fault if he got hurt, he deserved it because he let Belos down. Think of the way Belos spoke to him during the last episode of season 2. "Why are you hurting me? I just wanted to help you." He lies to him. He probably HAS told hunter that he loves him. Probably when he was younger he DID show him affection, and then started withholding it. So he starts feeling withdrawals for it. He gets more desperate as he's forced to fight harder and harder to get it.

And on a similar note. I don't think people realize Belos not being able to control his curse wasnt a lie? Like we see him struggle to repress it on multiple occasions. As early as when he meets Luz in the past, we see when we see his arm with the glyphs on it, the way it ripples and bulges and he's obviously in pain as he forces it down. That's what happened in hollow mind; we see the mass of palisman souls are fighting inside of him. Thats his curse. All those souls he's consumed trying to destroy him. And then Belos destroys it, which gives him for the first time full control over his fucked up body. Before that he genuinely doesn't have full control of himself

Guilty, I admit one of my favorite Hunter eras. Anything emperor coven is so interesting to me and I would have loved to see more of this guy even if he was just a facade. Tried playing around with different brushes than I usually use and liked the results!

Hunter head canon #3

Hunter his whole life has done something guard related. From training to be a scout which are essentially foot guards to the highest ranking guard, the golden guard. He wasn’t just trained to guard he was raised guarding. It’s something he does thats probably second nature for him.

With that being said I truly believe he will continue being a guard to everyone he cares about even if it’s no longer his job and even if he barley knows that person. (gus and luz for example in labyrinth runners and hunting palismen ) It’s ingrained in him the same way sheep dogs will heard humans because it’s what they know.

So I imagine hunter instinctively standing up in front of the hexsquad unconsciously guarding. Even if they are simply hanging out. They ask him about it and he admits he does it without even noticing.

Of course a lot of these behaviors stem from PTSD like him being hyper vigilante and being prepared to defend from any possible attack but even in moments he knows he safe he’s always watching making sure they don’t get hurt by something little like falling and making sure their all secure. He’s not even violent just defensive.

He keeps them organized even if can’t keep himself organized, he becomes aware of their mannerism in a objective way, he guides them. They basically become his herd in way.

Even if Luz could be seen being the ‘leader’, Hunter is always next to her ever so slightly in front, like a guard.

Luz is also protective but that’s a habit she developed while again for Hunter it’s ingrained.

It’s quite cute actually if you ignore his past, him being a protective friend willing to defend the people he cares about no matter what.

In short Hunter got that Doberman/collie instinct in him lol

Yup you pretty much got it all correct! For dual students who have other tracks , the first track determines your sigil

If you switch from one track to only one track like Willow then you get that sigil. So Willow got a plant sigil even if she was originally in abominations because it’s just one track.

BUT

If you switch to two tracks or more, then the original first one is selected even if you dropped it :) like the healing track. Even though it was dropped. Bard and beast-keeping are unfortunately two separate tracks so the original, healing is chosen. So you got it!

I absolutely adore seeing an outsider perspective of this. It really weighs the heartbreak of the situation and just how many people are effected outside of the main characters. The fact that Adults who’ve been in the covens for so long can’t understand that pain of a sigil after multi-tracking is so upsetting ahhhh!

Hunter was able to take lead in forcing sigils upon the students and succeeded, now the day of unity stakes are higher. Luckily he isn’t like Adrian and at least provided them the matching sigils to their track…the multi-track students are given sigils based on the original chosen classes on record.

Now they will be affected by the draining spell, Hunter is convinced he did something for the greater good and is proud. This will cause so much conflict in the future.
