those first couple weeks after escaping a time loop have gotta be disorienting as all fuck. all those little cues that used to tell you what's about to happen are now triggers that cause you to brace for something that isn't coming. you have to relearn the permanence of death -- hell, you have reacquaint yourself with the entire concept of finality altogether. everything keeps changing but it never changes back and you keep having to remind yourself that this is normal. "it won't reset anymore," you echo to yourself, over and over and over, like a broken record, like you're still trapped in a loop, like someone who escaped the time loop but was doomed to bring it into the future with them

how do the LIs act when (and *if*) they get jealous?

ronin - he won't care tbh. ronin isn't the jealous type. he might play it up to you "aw, spendin' so much time with angel, what's a devil gotta do to get his due?" but in his hearts of hearts he knows you'll always come back to him. he's corrupted you, made you his: why would he be jealous when he knows you're his?

angel - wouldn't get jealous, mostly because she's too busy to be jealous. if you're flirting with someone else, she's more likely to feel inadequate and blame herself. if ur trying to make her jealous, she would get insecure and try to win u back. but she'd also hide her feelings under a smile like nothing is wrong :)

misaki - would get super clingy and attached to you, mostly because they're scared of losing you.

v - would proudly proclaim you to be his lover to anyone who even looks at you both. would threaten with sophistication when provoked.

Severance is about rebellion, about people who were literally created to obey finally questioning and breaking through that conditioning. There’s a storyline about someone doing a complete 180 and choosing to rebel when they realise they have a child that they’re not allowed to see, and I love that the storyline wasn’t given to the female lead, but to a previously comic male character. There’s a storyline about breaking protocol because for the first time ever you have fallen in love, in intense, overwhelming, impossible love, and I love that the storyline wasn’t given to the female lead, but to a pair of awkward old guys. The storyline about grief and guilt also goes to a guy, to the male lead.

I love that the female lead is the only one whose radicalisation comes entirely from within, the person motivating her is her, she’s not doing it for anyone else, she wants her freedom, and failing that, she wants bloody revenge even at the cost of utter self-destruction.
