I want to be underwater.

I want to feel the release of gravity as the water comes in to hold me like a loved child being whisked off to bed.

I want to feel the weights inside and atop my head float off with my hair in the brine.

I want to feel the shock of changed temperatures on my skin, a proof that I’ve left behind the agitations of the world for this realm of stillness.

I feel like a nymph that yearns for home.
