wealthy, gifted, loved and admired guys that need a lesson in humility to earn their comforting big-dick boyfriend xD
now i’m not denying the fact that these characters were privileged at at least some point in their life (xl being born into it as royalty, sy being a second-generation rich kid and wwx being adopted by the jiangs), but saying that they ‘need a lesson in humility to earn their comforting big-dick boyfriend’, in my opinion, is a gross misrepresentation of their characters.
from the way you phrase it, you make it seem like the advantages that these characters’ possess is an inherently bad thing. privilege is no one’s sin. none of these characters asked to be born with talent and/or riches, it’s simply just the circumstances they happened to find themselves in, and there’s nothing they could have done about it.
being privileged in and of itself is neither inherently good nor bad, and the deciding factor lies in whether privileged individuals choose to acknowledge this privilege, and how they choose to use it.
some choose to use it in a way that is harmful due to perceived superiority and arrogance. this is when there is a need for ‘a lesson in humility’ in order for there to be character growth.
now do kindly elaborate and provide some concrete examples rooted in fact to illustrate your point. how do these three characters choose to use their own privilege to harm? i would be more than happy to hear you out provided you can give valid proof.
I dunno, I think that post-Scum villain MXTX wants to write a poor mistreated Cinderella protagonist, but somehow keeps ending up with these wealthy, gifted, loved and admired guys that need a lesson in humility to earn their comforting big-dick boyfriend xD (Hard work, who? Don't know her, I was born better/wealthier!)
Like, the boyfriend is universally a dick to the protagonist's family members/friends who in any other story would be terrible abusive faithless monsters - but somehow MXTX cannot write them as anything else than decent, upright, complicated and dedicated people who only leave the protagonist's side when faced with insurmountable odds, and yet still try to support them.
Dunno, it's like we're trapped in the genre and can't get out :0
ok i’ve seen some confusion on the internet regarding the differences between some cnovel specific genres, so here’s a clarification:
Wuxia(武侠): lower fantasy, concerns the adventures of martial artists in ancient china
Xianxia (仙侠): higher fantasy, subgenre of Wuxia, concerns cultivators and supernatural beings
Xuanhuan(玄幻): the highest of high fantasy, subgenre of Xianxia, still concerns magic and supernatural beings, albeit in a more fantastical setting with foreign (aka not chinese) elements
p.s. keep in mind that i’m by no means an authority on this stuff, but that’s the general gist :)

i wondered why i like the hualian underwater kiss in tgcf so much specifically because its happens underwater and then it hit me. it's because i used to be a juge percabeth shipper as a kid . my percy jackson era never truly left me it's just hybernating and the second i see something in a story that happened in pjo i worship it IMMEDIATELY. it was never a phase.
again, reblog with reasons in the tags!
Hello everyone 👋♥️
I hope you are all well and healthy 🤍
In fact, my friend Bilal and his family who are stuck in the northern Gaza Strip are not well in light of the closure of the Rafah crossing and the lack of a safe passage for travel.
These donations will go to a Palestinian family who wants to cross the safety line to Egypt the moment the Rafah crossing opens 🙏💔
Thank you and I hope you are all well 🤍

Emergency: Help save my children's lives
Dear humanity,
Living in tents is miserable. There is a lack of drinking water, hot sun rays, and strange insects that have terrified my children. What hurts me most is my young son Ezz, who I see growing up in an unclean environment and with no healthy food for him. I believe he has not received his right to life.
At this stage, my husband and I decided to go to you and create an account on the Go Fund Me website and ask you to help us in these difficult times until we get out of Gaza, from the land of war to the land of peace. All we need from you is to support us and help us to get out of the war, even if you cannot help. You should spread the word. This campaign is everywhere and among your friends. We thank you for your stance and support for us. Thank you, my friends
The amount that will be collected from this campaign :
We will spend it by paying the amount to coordinate entry through the Rafah land crossing, which connects Gaza to the State of Egypt, since, as I mentioned, they charge an adult $5,000, but depending on the pressures, crises, and waiting, the amount may reach $7,000 per person, and children $2,500 to $4,000.
We will also use it for the rest of the travel and safe transportation expenses to provide for all family members.

We have been through many wars before, but this war was not like the ones before it. Our lives were turned upside down. We became displaced from one place to another. We are the Anas family, residents of northern Gaza, specifically in the Shujaiya area. In the first week of the war, we fled our home because everyone considered our home to be in a dangerous area. We moved to the Rimal area, specifically in the middle of Gaza. There, we received the news that our home, which contained all our beautiful memories, was bombed. Suddenly, it was gone!!! Just thinking that your home, which you worked hard on and built from scratch and took a lot of your life, was gone in less than a second ! After a while, we left the sands to the Al-Zawaida area because of the heavy shelling. We stayed there for about two weeks, and then the terrorist army asked us to go to Rafah. We actually fled for the fourth time to Rafah and stayed there for two months, some of the most difficult days of our lives, as there was no way or means to live a normal life. 😔😔 After that, because of the invasion of Rafah, we moved to Deir al-Balah. Now, we are in very difficult and oppressive circumstances.
I want to put Alice Dyer and Tim Stoker in a room and see how long it’d take for one of them to just break down
