For a moment, I caught a whiff of the beginning of a school year in the air. Or perhaps it was the beginning of the summer. Either way, it was in a place of my own situated at the end of one thing and the beginning of another. It carries an inherent hope with it, for the future. Who will I meet? What will I learn? And of course, it will never be the way I envisioned it. But for a moment, it is the end of something, and I am glad of it, and a little bit sad.
