I’m actually crying whose decision was it to have Lloyd’s edgy montage scene be him jumping from the rooftops with Hard Knock Life from Annie playing in the background
Everytime I reread tfc I try to find a reason as to why Columbia needed to happen and I genuinely cannot find one. Like why did they do that??? I could never be Neil cause my sensitive ass would have quit immediately.
I just want Kevin and Jean to hug. Plz. Just once. Let two cool guys hug. Plz.
Yes of course if I had tons of money and lived in the middle of Virginia I’d buy an abandoned factory and fill it with a model of the town I live in and mint plants and all of the little trinkets and supernatural objects I’ve collected over the years and all my closest friends. What else?
Funniest part of The Raven King was for sure when it was revealed that Cheng2 was not in fact Henry’s brother but actually just some random kid who was also named Henry
My favorite character in aftg is Neil’s hair. Because wdym after years of being on the run and constantly having to change his identity AND play a dangerous physical sport he still kept his gorgeous locks? He could have saved himself half the trouble of dyeing and holding it back by just getting a buzz cut, but the poor guy just didn’t have the heart to cut it.
Obviously it’s a general rule in fiction that a character cannot be who you first believe they are, but trc just takes it to a whole other level. By the end of The Raven King, every single character is so drastically different from how they were in The Raven Boys, partially because of their own development, but also because of how the perspectives are divvied out between books so neatly that you get basically an entire character study in each one alongside the overall plot. Everytime I reread it I’m so off-put by the first book because of how differently they used to act and think, even if it the timeline is only a few months. Maggie Stiefvater please never die
How DC felt turning Tim Drake from a justice-driven genius with a deep respect for Batman and an overwhelming desire to succeed despite his parents negligence to a psychotic teenager from the suburbs who takes his parents love for granted in favor of his obsession with Batman that eventually leads to him ruining their lives and still getting his way.
My favorite plot twist in trc was Ronan being an absolute fucking loser. Like wdym the stoic spontaneous bad boy listens to EDM and wants to be a farmer??? And people are SCARED of him??? Please.
Everyone always talks abt the Pynch wedding but I lowkey feel like they wouldn’t have one. In fact, I feel like they would just sign the papers and not tell anyone until one day Gansey, Blue, and Henry come to visit the barns and one of them notices the ring and is like “wait wtf you’re engaged?” and Ronan just gives them a weird look and replies “we’re married” and then all hell breaks loose.
Adam was constantly saying “I’m employed what does this mean” whenever Gansey and Ronan did some crazy shit while he was at work
