Darkness swallowed you whole, and the cityscape blurred into nothingness. The Batfamily’s voices faded as you stepped through the void between reflections, reemerging in the sanctuary of your domain—an abandoned cathedral lost to time, hidden deep within Gotham’s underbelly. Stained glass windows cast fractured light against the walls, painting eerie silhouettes that danced with the shifting shadows. This was your kingdom, a place where silence reigned and the forgotten found refuge.

You exhaled slowly, the tension from the encounter lingering in your bones. They knew now. They had seen the monster they had forged, the being they had abandoned to darkness. And yet, their arrogance remained unchanged. They still believed they could ‘fix’ you, as if you were something broken, something in need of repair.

A bitter laugh escaped your lips.

They would never understand.

The city spoke to you in whispers, in tremors beneath your feet, in the flickering of lights in distant alleyways. Another predator lurked tonight, another soul who believed they were untouchable. A serial killer, his crimes buried under bribes and legal loopholes, continued to walk free, believing himself immune to consequences.

You would remind him otherwise.

With a flick of your wrist, the shadows curled around you once more, swallowing you in their embrace. The night welcomed you back into its depths, and you let it guide you to the next name on your list.

Meanwhile, the Batfamily stood in stunned silence on the rooftop, the chill of the night settling deep into their bones. The weight of your revelation pressed heavily on them, suffocating, inescapable.

“She’s alive,” Dick finally breathed, his voice tinged with disbelief, with something dangerously close to grief.

“And she’s dangerous,” Damian snapped, though his grip on his sword had slackened. His expression remained unreadable, but there was something sharp in his eyes—an unspoken regret buried beneath layers of pride.

“She’s been dangerous,” Jason corrected, his jaw tight. “The real question is why the hell we didn’t see it coming.”

Tim was silent, his mind already racing through possibilities, through contingencies. The way you had manipulated them, twisted their senses—he had never seen anything like it. Not from you. Not from anyone.

Bruce’s gaze remained fixed on the spot where you had vanished, his hands clenched into fists. “We bring her back.”

Jason let out a humorless chuckle. “Did you not just see what happened? She doesn’t want to come back, B. She doesn’t need us.”

“She thinks she doesn’t,” Bruce countered, his voice low, determined. “She’s lost.”

“She’s not lost,” Tim murmured, rubbing his temples. “She knows exactly what she’s doing.”

“And she won’t stop,” Damian added. “She believes herself above the law, above consequence.”

Dick swallowed hard, his mind flashing back to the way you had looked at them—so cold, so distant. The smirk that had barely concealed your disdain. This wasn’t just anger or resentment. This was something deeper, something carefully cultivated over years of silence, of neglect.

Guilt gnawed at his insides.

“We left her behind,” he admitted, the words bitter on his tongue. “We should’ve looked for her.”

Bruce’s expression darkened. “We will fix this.”

Jason’s hands curled into fists. “You still don’t get it, do you? She doesn’t need saving. She’s past that. She’s beyond it.”

Bruce turned away, his mind already set. “Then we’ll do whatever it takes to stop her.”

Tim exhaled, his stomach twisting. “We might not be able to.”

Elsewhere in Gotham, you moved like a phantom, your presence an unseen force weaving through the city's darkest corners. The criminal underworld had learned to fear the name ‘Erebus,’ but fear was not enough. Fear could be overcome, rationalized. No, you needed something greater. You needed to make an example.

You found your target in a high-rise penthouse, his wealth insulating him from justice, his power built on the suffering of others. A man who thought he was untouchable. He was pouring himself a drink when the shadows flickered unnaturally around him, the temperature in the room dropping to a bone-chilling cold.

“What the—?” He barely had time to turn before his reflection in the glass twisted, distorting into something unrecognizable. His own face sneered back at him, the eyes hollow, empty voids that saw into the depths of his soul.

Then the mirror shattered.

And you stepped through.

He screamed.

The sound was short-lived.

By the time you were done, the penthouse was empty, the only trace of him a lingering whisper in the night, a ghost story for Gotham’s elite. No body, no blood, just the suffocating knowledge that justice had come, swift and merciless.

And you smiled.

The night belonged to you now.

Back in the Batcave, Bruce scoured the reports, his mind racing. Crime rates were dropping, but not in a way that brought him comfort. It was fear, not hope, keeping criminals at bay. There was a pattern to the disappearances, to the way the bodies were never found. It was too calculated, too precise.

He stared at your old photo, his fingers tightening around the edges.

“You’re not just another criminal,” he muttered. “You’re something else.”

Dick sighed heavily. “What do we do, Bruce? If we go after her now, we’re walking into a fight we might not win.”

Bruce didn’t answer immediately. He was already forming a plan, already considering every possible way to bring you back into the fold—whether you wanted to or not.

“She was ours once,” he finally said. “And she will be again.”

Jason scoffed. “You don’t get it, do you? She was never ours.”

And deep down, even Bruce knew that was true.

The hunt had begun.

Ok but I wanna talk about Portia in that trailer and the absolute pride in her voice when she's taking to Penelope.

I personally love Portia's character and how she's been a foil to Violet in that she's a loving mother, but she's also a realist about the society they live in. She's a tough love, no nonsense type of mother. She's making sure everyone survives as a top priority, if she has to be mean to get them there than so be it.

She's been at odds with Penelope the last two seasons mainly because of their different views. Portia is a realist, while Penelope still has dreams like most 17-18 year olds. Portia, in her own way, has been trying to bring Penelope back to reality.

An example of this to me is the scene where Portia finds out Penelope has been writing to Colin. The first thing she says "I declare Penelope," in a softer tone and when Penelope declares Colin her friend that tone becomes more strict. She tells Penelope, "Colin Bridgerton is no more your friend than I am the next Catherine the Great." Is it mean? Yup. But looking at it through Portia's eyes there's some truth to it. Their society doesn't allow friendships between single men and women. Colin and Penelope writing to one another without being engaged or even a proper courtship was actually very inappropriate. Portia probably does understand that there really isn't anything inappropriate in those letters and they are actually friends but she also knows no one else would see it that way. If she wanted she would have been well within her rights to go to Anthony about it and raise a fuss. She needs Penelope to see this too.

Now come season 3 in Portia's pov Penelope is finally taking the marriage mart seriously. She's got herself a suitor who is a titled lord, and Portia is proud of her. No more silly little fantasies of love. Meanwhile Penelope is probably weirded out with some other mixed feelings by this because this isn't what she is used to from her mother.

Makes me excited to see where their relationship goes. Because honestly, Penelope probably inherited the most from her mother, but she's in denial about it. It mostly comes out in Lady Whistledown, but that sharp wit and scheming mind is Portia. Penelope will actually fall into Portia's line of thinking when she's backed into a corner. When she saved both Colin and Eloise, she knew they would be hurt, and she's sorry about that, but she also knows they'll be safe. That is Portia's school of thought 101.

I've also been wanting to see how they approach the big heart to heart between the two of them. I want them to get into a screaming match that breaks down into them sincerely talking to one another. Penelope's confidence is supposed to get a boost this season, and we know she's not afraid to subtley barb at her mother. I hope they have Penelope confront Portia at some point, forcing everything out in the open.

So who is the next Bridgerton to come barging into the spouse friend group. Part of me thinks it would be Eloise or Colin because Hyacinth would totally rub it in their face that she knows where their friend is but I could also see Benedict going full prince charming mode and being determined to find the woman he met at the ball.

Hyacinth would tease and then try to auction the information off to the highest bidder and Benedict would scouring social media looking for signs of the woman he met that night with all her silver tattoos.

The next one to barge in on the friend group though is actually Anthony.

Now to be fair this tattoo appointment was scheduled before the charity ball. Anthony was teasing Simon about some of his tattoos when Simon betted him that Anthony's posh ass was too much of a pussy to get any tattoos done. Anthony said bet and Simon immediately called Sophie up to schedule Anthony for a shoulder half-sleeve.

Sophie wanting to get the final designs and thoughts from Simon's friend asked Simon to bring him down during the end of lunch since his appointment was right after.

Well the rest of the friend group just so happened to be there too all congregating together on their own lunch breaks.

"The rest of the group will probably be there too, we all tend to meet up one of the shops for lunch," Simon said as they walked in.

"Is that woman you brought with you to Lady Danbury's charity ball going to be there?" Anthony asked.

"Kate? Probably since her clinic is right next door. Unless one of her patients had an emergency."

Anthony raised an eyebrow. "That woman works in a clinic? I feel sorry for her patients-"

Penelope was the first to notice them. "Hey Simon, Hey Anthony."

Cue big brother mode.

"Penelope Featherington!"

Penelope leans back into Phillip. "I'm in trouble."

Anthony pinches one of Penelope's cheeks just like he would do to his younger sisters when they were in trouble. He doesn't notice Phillip grabbing the back of Penelope's shirt incase he needs to pull her back or the others outside of Simon tensing up. He also doesn't notice Penelope wave them off.

"Where have you been young lady?" Anthony demanded.

Penelope smirked. She's kind of missed riling up Anthony with the Bridgerton sisters. "Living with two men."

Kate was no help and added gas to the fire. "Two very attractive men."

The only reason they made Maddie a Noxian spy is because otherwise, she would've been a victim in this entire situation, and people would see how shitty Caitlyn's actions actually are.

Cait is still Maddie's superior. The power imbalance is very much there, not to mention the way she treats Maddie outside of their affair. Imagine if instead of being a 'traitor that weasled herself into Caitlyn's bed to gain her trust', Maddie was just an innocent young officer who was manipulated and used by her boss. It just makes Caitlyn look way worse, which she is, because she didn't know Maddie was a spy, so in her eyes, the difference in status didn't matter.

The writers needed somone else to be the scapegoat while Cailtyn did her thing and everyone was already against Maddie because she 'got in the way of Caitvi', which is not true by the way, Caitvi was always going to be cannon. Personally, I think it's ridiculous, but I've seen it happen time and time again in fandoms, so I'm honesty not surprised.

Now Michael/Phillip/Penelope live together in their apartment and Gareth/Lucy live together in the dorms of the University. Kate and Sophie used to live together during high school when Mary took Sophie in. After Kate went off to University and Sophie started her apprenticeship. They do live in the same building as the trio. Simon is the odd duck out among them. They all have had sleepovers at each others places, besides the dorms for obvious reasons. None of them would blink if they came home one day to find one of their friends who do not live there chilling on their couch.

As for flirting. Look there are multiple reasons they have private group chat that the Bridgertons don't see. One of them being is that they are gonna get their feelings hurt. Due to certain influences the group is not afraid to flirt with one another. It will be some of the dirtiest, nastiest flirting that would make the devil himself blush, some of which they turn around and use on their partners, and it's all platonic. They're honestly just being silly with one another. Until one of them gets competitive, then it's just a fucking challenge to see who can get the other the most red. (Simon and Gareth being the exception because damn it Simon helped raise that boy.) If their partners do express being uncomfortable with the platonic flirting though they'll stop.
