Churches that were built in the first place to document and glorify the rape and destruction of other countries and cultures centuries older, and that were filled with the treasures and fortunes of said places. Just spend an hour googling for everything the UK “acquired” during the war from Germany and Nazi occupied European territories.

Not to mention how much more advanced than the UK and US all the countries are who got leveled during the war because everything got rebuilt brand fuckin new and isn’t built on top of rotting infrastructure like New York or Boston or London.

Gonna be my controversial 12:04 AM statement, but pretty buildings and interesting glassmaking techniques are not worth preserving in the face of what the Nazis were doing

If you must whinge about losing your precious churches, lay their destruction at the feet of the people whose idealogy led to their ruination in the first place
