# June 2021 - A female falcon eagle was equipped with a satellite tracking system in S Africa that would allow researchers to monitor its movements, before migrating to Finland
# In 42 days, she flew over 10,000 km at an incredible average of 230 km per day, nearly in a straight line trajectory the entire time.
# the journey began in S Africa and from there the bird took to the skies and began its long journey soaring over deserts, oceans, mountains as it made its way towards Europe. Despite numbers of challenges including storms, predators, lack of food, she persisted.
# it’s a powerful reminder of the interconnectedness of all life in our planet. Truly an incredible feat for a single bird. —- Sir David Attenborough
