Why 2gether the series is not just a simply BL story (Character wise):
There's a lot of character growth that not many series have. Many of the characters started off as being mostly annoying or funny while others such as Sarawat, Tine, Green, and Fong changed throughout different episodes.
Green in the first couple of episodes... was a cute character but a little annoying. It is until later that he becomes very supportive and even friend's with Tine. *Showing yet again, that gay characters are not one dimensional, that we can all have different layers and that we can all become better in general*. Another character that really shines throughout the whole series is Tine's friend, Fong. He is just one of the group but he is special, it seems as if he has been with Tine since the beginning. Although he doesn't really support Tine verbally, you can tell that he in fact does... After some episodes, he fully supports Tine and even tells him that he should stay with Sarawat before he regrets it. He also goes on to tell Sarawat the reason why Tine is the way he is with him and that he shouldn't feel bad about it but just go on with him *this scene*. Sarawat is one of the characters that come off as an as*ho*e at the beginning, very edgy and kinda way too much, needless to say, is that he is one of the best BL characters I've seen in ages. There's just so much you can take from his character because when he falls in love... he starts adjusting himself to some things while not changing himself at all. He was antisocial before he met Tine after he met him, he decided to create an IG just to follow him and upload pictures with him, but he was still the same person before he met Tine. Sarawat becoming a loving and caring person because he liked Tine, all of these without losing his essence. Whenever he was with Tine, he was not afraid of showing his love and appreciation towards him. While in many BL series the main characters always struggle with this In my opinion it shows how not all of us are the same and how we all express our emotions differently. Anyone would see Sarawat as an almost straight character, but the fact that he isn't afraid to show his emotions makes it more realistic and close to the character. this growth shows that not everybody gay character has to be in a certain way or written as an angry person who is closeted, but more realistic. Some of us are like Green or Sarawat and that is okay, we don't need to be label as feminine or masculine or too much of one side. Tine's character is one of those characters that you instantly love. Win has a lot of charisma and he seems to be enjoying every single scene that he is on. Aside from that, he is one of the strongest characters I've seen. He is not a masc or fem guy, he is just Tine. The fact that this guy is not full of stereotypes, it's what makes you love him. He is funny, even if Sarawat has done some things that may push him away, he still manages to care about Sarawat. Win really did a great job with his character. Many of us can actually relate to him, he is not sure about his feelings for Sarawak but he isn't afraid to find out (even if he doesn't even know he is about to), he can be jealous, not over the top, he can be funny, he cares, and he cares just so much that he even cares about What his brother would say if he finds out about his relationship with Wat. The way he actually likes being Wat's boyfriend and how he likes feeling like he is being protected just makes you blush. That's the moment you realize he is the character that has grown the most on the series because he went from feeling shy to being just happy over being Wat's boyfriend.
Each one of the characters made me love this show more and more, not just the story that was being told but also the way each actor brought their character to life. I'm proud of it.
A little something I wrote on Twitter. Thank you.
