One off those things that looked better on paper then in Photoshop

This was supposed to be the last of 2023 but… I forgot, since the first thing of 2023 (that’s still up) was also Thor so “tie it all together”. But here he is.

Another one of my “One off Pin-ups” for whenever I just want to draw some Marvel without any deeper meaning and if you have a character you want to see, or one you think I have to update, let me know :D maybe I can dare to look at comments or just send a message.

Belated Jack Kirby-Tribute! Late Happy 105th! Don’t really feel he gets as much recognition as the Co-Creator of many characters among fans as he might deserve. Not as many talks about him as they do Stan Lee Yeah, due to his many apperances, everybody knows and loves Stan but he just did half of the work, maybe less. Sometimes, he just left the a note ”make them fight this guy” and Jack had to evolve the plot from there. With dynamic poses and impressive amount of details, Kirby drew many classic characters and designed big names like Fantastic Four, X-Men, Iron Man, Ant-Man and The Wasp, Thor and The Hulk and even the one that got to assemble them all as The Avengers in their first fight against Loki. Or design the first ever big Cosmic threath, Galactus, the planet-eater. And the nine realms of Asgard or the mysterious Negative Zone! Or introduce Black Panther, Marvel’s first black Superhero and the nation of Wakanda. Even back in the 40s when Stan Lee picked up lunch or refilled the ink, Jack together with Joe Simon were the ones that created Captain America AND the one to draw his return to the modern times. And during his time at DC, he created and wrote the New Gods who happens to involve Darkseid himself, who has the held the title of DC’s Big bad ever after and together with fellow New God Metron, the inspirations for Marvel’s Thanos. After that, he returned to Marvel and not really effected but created the lore of the origin of Marvel Universe with Eternals and Celestials, who had a hand in creating the universe itself and giving mankind the ability to develope superpowers. TL;DR fans of these characters and their stories have a lot to thank this man for . Open for Commissions! Was out of ideas and my sister wanted to see some Wanda

Black Manta! He had autism once! Then Aquaman cured him! And he turned good! Then he got bad again and it was never talked about again as far as I know.

I barely remember what happened, I guess I just wanted to draw Manta.

He liked the touch of water, that’s a thing.

I can enjoy the touch of some things. Like… wooden chairs and jeans.

And I can dislike stuff like the weight of the water on your body post-shower or snow on my face, it feels like I’m gonna bleed.

Touch is weird, I really don’t have much to say about it.

I kind of love making these kind of drawings and just curious if there's a character I should add? Do have plans to try to make X-Men or Teen Titans but can be other stuff as well. Some Villains or stuff outside of Marvel and DC perhaps

LAST Official Art Post of 2024! The year I promised myself no more Miraculous and then just kept on drawing it anyways. Have like a hundred ideas of stuff I want to do in 2025 as well as no plans to ever watch the show again at the same time. I just lack the pride to keep watching a kids show. This is a fun paradox, don’t remember anything related to this in psychology. Maybe the idea of you watching shows based on stuff you want and this reminds me of a childhood I felt I missed?

Watching these kids finding these friends, skills, confidence and maturity lies closer to what I wished I had as a child and what felt like the lives many around me led. I spent my days staring into the wall in the school corridor or up at the moon before going to bed wondering about my place in the world and finding questions for everything between “what’s outside the known universe” and “do I deserve to breathe the same air as my classmates?” Apparently, my parents’ tactic of constantly reminding me of my diagnosis and differences did NOT have any positive result on my mental health :D, who figured.

I’m glad that I have all that today. A back bone, a small but diverse social life, an actual close relationship with my family and pride to go outside the door. But this show just takes that and makes me regret I didn’t find it sooner.

So my relationship with this show is something I have been wondering about a lot this year and seems to be a mix of escapism and weird sense of nostalgia to small moments of fun and acceptance and also, regrets of why I didn’t just do this or that or blah.

So going into 2025, I have an updated sense of what I want to draw, not to draw, what I want my stuff to say, the overall feeling and vibe of the individual ideas and what kind of artwork I can find myself sharing with my social group. And Miraculous have found a way into that mix.

So cheers to the new year and a happy warning, if you’re still following me, you’re not getting rid of these two. Nor me, feeling sorry for myself, but I’m working on that last part.
