And if you think that because of the comments about Percy worrying about being a good boyfriend to annabeth, it isn’t because annabeth is abusive, because she’s not, it’s about his self-esteem from his trauma and his survival guilt. Not to mention, even if she was abusing him, he has so many people in his life who’ve been abused that’s someone would point it out. But Percy’s not this poor little baby, who’s doesn’t know any better. He’s very smart and has serious self hatred issues. It doesn’t stem from the people he loves.
