So, an alien group invades earth as the Justice League goes to stop them.

Red Tornado tells the team that, just in case, they're Earth's last defense, and they learn the aliens are at the Fortress of Solitude, Superman's lair by the North Pole.

They arrive at the area, everyone decked out in winter gear.

Artemis and Jake move through ice formations and spot one of the alien ships.

Jake: Found the fucking jackpot.

Just like that, Miss Martian flies over and her eyes glow green as she uses her telekinesis to rip the end of one of the wings.

Miss Martian: (On the link) Communications disabled. Propulsion disabled.

The ship then falls to the ground.

Artemis then jumps out of her spot and whips out her bow and arrow. She then fires her arrow at the ship's red center which immediately expands and hardens as it tries to fire on her trying to find the team.

Jake: (On the link) And ET's are sealed inside.

Aqualad, who's underneath the ice, jumps out with his WaterBearers. He then sinks the ship a little as it turns around to shoot him.

Luckily, Cloud and Brocky jump on the ship on the ship and proceed to rip the ship a new one.

Superboy and Y/n then pop up and brace the ship as they keep it from moving.

Y/n then uses Ruler's Authority to restrain the ship's movement.

Y/n: No way out for you.

Kid Flash arrives with Robin in tow. Robin hops off Kid's back and uses his HoloGlove to hack its systems.

During the process, Cloud gets blasted by the ship's laser and disappears.

Miss Martian and Y/n: (gasps) Cloud.

Robin: There was no indication of feedback. I'm sorry.

Y/n: Me too, Conner.

Superboy: Can't do anything for him now. Let's go.

Superboy then rips off the laser as Supergirl flies over and grabs the laser. From there, M'gann uses her telekinesis to place the laser on the BioShip.

Miss Martian: Rerouting systems to integrate weapon into ship's bio-matrix. We'll need to de-camouflage for a few minutes.

Jane: Ummm, guys...

Robin and Jake: We may not have a few minutes.

Two more ships, similar to the one they just destroyed flying towards them.

Blackfire: Well, we're fucked.

Aqualad: Miss Martian, open fire.

Miss Martian: Can't. Weapon systems are off-line to incorporate the new cannon. And that's not yet fully integrated either.

Y/n: Tusk, Pyyrha, come forth.

Tusk and Pyyrha rise from Y/n's shadow and open fire, unleashing fireballs at the ships but they dodge.

Jake: Tusk, come on, man. You really can’t aim at all!

Tusk sulks at Jake's comment as Y/n berates her older brother.

Y/n: Jake!

Jake: What?! It's true.

Artemis then whips out her bow again.

Artemis: Gotcha covered. Get inside! I'm almost there.

Artemis nocks three arrows as she then releases the arrows. Two of them hit, one of the ships lands in the ground and the other explodes midair.

The crashed ship hums back to life as it activates.

It's laser trained on her.

Miss Martian: Artemis.

Y/n: Behind you!

However, it's too late, as Artemis turns around to aim her bow but gets blasted by the laser, disappearing into nothing.

Miss Martian and Y/n: Artemis!

Kid Flash: No!

Aqualad orders everyone to head inside as he uses his WaterBearers to tear the ship apart.

Kid Flash: They're dead. Every last alien if it's the last thing I do.

Y/n's eyes glow magenta as she grips her fist.

Y/n: Same here.

Eventually, the team flies off while everyone mourns Artemis.

M'gann holds back tears while piloting the BioShip.

Kid bangs his hands on his console.

Y/n, just like everyone else, is experiencing a mix of sadness, grief, anger, rage and all in between.

Y/n's thoughts: (Why I couldn't do anything?! I'm supposed to be absolutely powerful thanks to the system. All this power and I couldn't do shit.)

Y/n grips her hair tightly as she taps her foot quickly.

Y/n's thoughts: (Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! DAMN IT!!!! WHY DIDN'T YOU DO SOMETHING, Y/N?!!! YOU FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT!!!! You couldn't save your mother or father. And now, you couldn't save one of your lovers. How worthless are you?!)

A hand places itself on Y/n's shoulder as she turns around to see Jane.

Jane: Hey, N/n. Are you OK?

Y/n starts to sob but holds her tears back, knowing it'd be selfish to make it about her since everyone else was feeling Artemis' "death".

Y/n: (Stammering) I-I should've done something.

Jane: We all do.

Aqualad then tells the team that they'll just mourn Artemis later, and the job comes first.

He also advises the team that they need to head over to the Hall of Justice to let mankind know there's still people here to defend them.

Y/n's current hairstyle and outfit:

As they arrive at the Hall of Justice, an army of US military soldiers fight against the aliens but their resistance yields little fruit.

The camouflaged BioShip flies behind a few ships as it blasts them.

Y/n in her demon Monarch form flies over one of the ships and spawns two chained blades.

She then stabs both ships and slams them together, causing them to explode.

Meanwhile, Superboy with Iron hop onto a ship and smash into the ground as Iron slams his axe into the ship.

Superboy manages to stop the ship from flattening a few soldiers.

He then hits the iconic Superman pose as the soldiers celebrate.

Random soldier #1: See? It is Superman. I told you he wouldn't leave us out here all alone.

Random soldier #2: I don't know. He looks kinda young. Where's the cape?

Conner then tries to explain that he's not Superman but the general, Wade Eiling, tells him since he's wearing the symbol, he's got the title.

The Team heads inside with the army waiting outside with thousands of shadow soldiers and familiars waiting outside.

Once inside, they check through the place and eventually find Martian Manhunter. Manhunter explains that he doesn't remember what happened or how he ended up where he's at.

Robin and Kid Flash discover that the laser weapon that they got has Zanopenes, the stuff that powers Zeta-beam tubes.

They start to believe the possibility that Artemis is alive.

However, things don't go well forever as the aliens attack and the team decides to bail with Martian Manhunter.

Aqualad decides to stay back with Jake as well.

Before that, Jake walks up to his little sister and grabs her shoulders.

Jake: Sis, I know I'm supposed to protect you and you know I love you. And I'm so proud of you. Got boja, sojunghan naui yeodongsaeng. (See you soon, my precious little sister.)

A/n: I could be wrong with the translation.

Jake takes off his mask and places it on Y/n.

Jake: You keep it, sis. It's gotta stay in the family. If you and the others find me and Aqualad with Artemis, then success. If not...

Y/n starts to cry as she realizes what her brother is implying.

Y/n: (Crying) Jake, please don't do this. Please, you can't leave me like Mom and Dad did.

Jake hugs Y/n one last time as he looks over to M'gann and the others.

Jake: Please, keep her safe, no matter what.

Y/n and the others head into the Zeta-beam tube and dip to the alien's main ship as Jake and Kaldur get eviscerated into nothing.

From there, once the remaining members of the Team arrive at the main ship of the aliens.

Superboy, Supergirl, Jane, Blackfire, Starfire, and Stargirl distract the aliens and get blasted as they disappear.

And as they head into the ship, Martian Manhunter reveals that the lasers that blasted everyone don't teleport people, they vaporize them.

Meaning the rescue mission they embarked on is pointless.

But they press on regardless and Y/n ends up as one of the many casualties and gets vaporized.

In the end, Robin, Kid Flash, Miss Martian and Martian Manhunter are the only ones left.

Robin and Kid Flash stay behind and blow up the main ship with themselves in the process while M'gann sees her friends and their beloved girlfriend Y/n get packed up.

Martian Manhunter then stabs M'gann in the chest and wakes her up.

It is then revealed that all the shit that happened was a psychic simulation made to train the team incase a major alien attack happened but when Artemis "died"... that had M'gann lose her shit and hijack the simulation, making everything seem real when it wasn't.

J'onn laments on how powerful of a psychic his niece is.

Ok, so there's a gate at this construction site, a group of hunters are all chilling and shit as they see two hunters walking in.

One of them says:

Kang Jeongho: Huh? Are those two girls Jinwoo Sung and Y/n L/n?

A/n: I'm writing this from the English dub perspective.

The two hunters, Jinwoo Sung or as it's pronounced in Korean Sung Jinwoo and L/n Y/n or it's pronounced in English Y/n L/n, these two girls walking in together.

Jinwoo is wearing a blue hoodie, orange shirt, and jeans, blue jeans, I mean. While sporting short hair and blue eyes (I know someone's gonna say they're grey in the manhwa but I'm watching the anime to make this and in the anime, they are blue, plus in this fanfic, Jinwoo is female and a Futanari or G!P as some would say compared to the og male badass himself).

And Y/n, just like in the picture above, having some long black hair, white sleeve tee that brings out her chest nicely and matching jeans.

Both girls having backpacks and bandages on them from previous jobs.

At some point, a fellow hunter named Kim Sangshik calls them the weakest hunters of all mankind cause they're E-Rank.

Jin-Woo's thoughts: Too late.

Y/n's thoughts: Heard every word. Albeit, there is some truth in there we can't avoid.

As the girls mind their business, they hear someone calling their names.

???: Jinwoo! Y/n! You two got hurt again!

They look up to see their friend and fellow hunter colleague, B-Rank hunter and healer, Lee Joohee.

Y/n: Joohee!

Jinwoo:Yeah, it's true we got hurt, but we'll live. But good to see you anyway.

Joohee, looking a disappointed parent, interrogates the two.

Joohee: Why don't you two skip the small talk and explain what happened to you guys?

Jinwoo goes on to hesitatingly explain that she and Y/n got hurt on another job, like always.

Joohee warns the pair to be extra careful as Y/n goes off to get coffee.

Jinwoo notices this and asks Y/n what's up.

Jinwoo: Y/n, where you going?

Y/n: To get coffee.

Jinwoo: But we-

Joohee places her hand on Jinwoo's mouth, silencing her at once.

Joohee: Go on ahead, Y/n. We'll be waiting for you.

Y/n: Ok, but before I go.

Y/n walks up to Jinwoo, gives her a kiss on the cheek and dip, causing the dark-haired girl to blush.

After that, Jinwoo and Joohee are sitting on some metal beams as they conversate.

Joohee: I heard you and Y/n got hospital stay.

Jinwoo: Hey, silver lining, though, neither of us died, plus we were the only ones who got hurt.

Joohee: What happened?

Jinwoo: The rest of the Team was a higher rank, and the dungeon was an E, so they didn't even bother to bring a healer.

Joohee is shocked as she leans forward towards Jinwoo.

Joohee: They didn't even bring a healer? Out of all the self-centered, thoughtless things to do!

Jinwoo then calms her down as she speaks.

Jinwoo: It's OK. Not like I'm mad, besides it's not their fault we're weak. Besides, it's not so bad when I have Y/n around.

Jinwoo starts blushing as she talks about Y/n, her beloved childhood friend.

Jinwoo: You know me and Y/n have been around each other since we were babies. She's always been a source of comfort for me.

Jinwoo looks down at the ground as she continues her rambling.

Jinwoo: We've always been there for one another. I was there for her when my family took her in from her abusive parents, and she's been there for me since my mom fell to Eternal Slumber.

Throughout their lives, Jinwoo and Y/n have been each other's ride or die, since day one. That's how it's been and that's how it's gonna be.

Joohee giggles a bit as Jinwoo continues rambling about how beautiful Y/n is and how much she loves her and all that crap.

Joohee: Wow, you really love her, don't you?

Jinwoo stops herself mid-sentence and turns to Joohee.

Jinwoo: Yeah, you can say that. I... I just love her a lot and we've been together for so long. For years, in fact. And yet, I feel as if I'm not enough for her. Like, she wouldn't want someone weak as an E-Rank like me.

Joohee proceeds to bonk Jinwoo on her head.

Jinwoo: Hey, what the hell was that?

Joohee: You fool! Do you realize how much Y/n loves you as much as you do with her? Y/n has been by your side since day one, right?

Jinwoo: Y-yeah, but why did you hit me like that?

Joohee: To get it through your thick head, damn it! You two clearly like each other, so why not be together? I've seen how you guys act around each other, so there's no point in hiding it.

Jinwoo: But what if we're not meant to be. You know how this job is, there's no guarantee that any of us will make it out alive. I don't want to leave her but I don't want her to leave me.

Joohee: So, what are you waiting for, lover girl? The girl, the woman and the very princess, the queen of your dreams is standing right over there....!

Joohee points at Y/n, getting coffee and some snacks for them, smiling and looking cute while talking to a few other hunters.

Joohee: She's waiting for you to go over there, be her knight in shining armor and protect her from harm. Isn't that what you say? She's your light and you want to protect her, right?

Jinwoo: Yeah.

Joohee: Then, today, you're going to over there and tell her how you feel and demand she be yours. And you'll die trying!

A/n: Damn, wingman Joohee for the win, am I right?✋️

Jinwoo: You know what, maybe you're right. I don't know when either of us we'll die so...

Jinwoo grips her hand into a fist as she speaks.

Jinwoo: Today's the day I make Y/n my girl.

Joohee: That's the spirit.

Y/n walks up to the two and hands them their coffees and Joohee, a chocolate donut.

Joohee: Thanks, Y/n.

Y/n: No problem.

Y/n turns to Jinwoo as she gives her one as well and then pokes her two fingers together in a cute way as she blushes.

Y/n: I only got one, so can we share?

Jinwoo: Alright.

Y/n sits beside her as they share the pastry and enjoy it, talking to each other more intimately, meanwhile Joohee (the wingman/shipper) just watches with a smile, knowing that these two will be getting together soon.

And she's been doing this for a while, trying to play cupid and have these E-Ranks get together already, but it seems like her work has finally been done.

Once that's all over, everyone gathers up to meet with the dungeon raid leader, Chiyul Song/Song Chiyil.

Chiyul: The name's Chiyul Song, and unless any of you have objections, I volunteer to be the leader of our dungeon raid. Speak now or hold your peace.

Everyone stands there, soaking in their leader's every word.

Beom-shik: Nope. I'm all for it.

Sangshik: Chiyul is the most skilled out of everyone here.

Jeongho: One less worry if he's in charge.

Meanwhile, Y/n is holding onto Jinwoo's right hand as they stand side by side.

Jinwoo: I just want to say, working with you, sir, is an abandoned privilege.

Y/n: Agreed. It's an amazing experience.

Chiyul: Thanks, you two. Now, with that settled... Shall we?

The construction gates open, showing the portal, aka the magic gate.

Everyone starts walking into the gate and into the dungeon.

Sangshik: Hey, Kids.

Sangshik appears behind Jinwoo and Y/n as he places his hands on their shoulders.

Sangshik: Hang behind the rest of the pack, and don't hurt yourselves.

Jinwoo: Good idea.

Y/n: We'll try.

Joohee: Focus on succeeding, not trying.

Joohee heads into the gate as Jinwoo and Y/n check out their weapons.

Y/n's knife:

Both weapons in their sheathed.

Jinwoo and Y/n's thoughts: (These weapons barely have any magic power in them. But yet, they're the only things we can afford. But it's better than nothing).

The two girls exhale deeply as they look into each other's eyes.

Jinwoo: Y/n, I just want you to know that I'll be there with you, protecting you no matter what.

Y/n: You too, Jin.

Jinwoo blushes a bit, since aside from his mother and sister, Y/n was the only person who called her that.

She shakes this off as they head into the dungeon, ready to face any foes or threats that come their way.

Sometime later, currently, in the dungeon, Jinwoo and Y/n alongside other hunters were killing some monsters and shit.

Jinwoo, knelt on the floor, as she stared at her bloody fingertips, seemingly excited.

Jinwoo: I actually got one.

Y/n walks over to her, covered in goblin blood as well.

Y/n: Jin, you good?

Jinwoo turns to Y/n and smiles.

Jinwoo: Yeah. And you?

Y/n: I'm good.

Jinwoo notices Y/n covered in blood and walks over to her.

Jinwoo: My god, you're covered in blood!

Y/n: Oh! This ain't mine, belongs to the dead goblin over there.

Y/n gestures to the dead monster behind her.

Jinwoo: But still, at least let me clean you up.

Jinwoo then takes a tissue out her pocket and wipes the blood off of Y/n's face and much of her beautiful body.

Jinwoo then stares into Y/n's eyes and Y/n stares right back.

Jinwoo: Um, let's move on.

Y/n: (Blushing a bit) Oh, you're right.

Jinwoo then thinks of how she just fumbled her chance to tell Y/n her feelings.

Jinwoo's thoughts: (Damn it, I missed my shot)!

Joohee: Jinwoo, Y/n!

Jinwoo looks up and sees a goblin gunning straight for Y/n.

Jinwoo: (Gasps) Y/n, look out!

Jinwoo dashes in and like a knight in shining armor, saves her princess from a dastardly villain, or in this case, a sleazy goblin.

Jinwoo's blade clashes with the goblin's as Y/n stares in shock and amazement.

Y/n: Jinwoo!

Jinwoo: Don't worry, Y/n. I promised I'd protect and I'm gonna do that right now.

Jinwoo's blade starts to crack as she backs away.

However, she falls but gets back up and runs away to distance herself from her opponent.

Y/n: Jin, I'm coming in to help you!

Jinwoo: No, stay back! I got this.

Jinwoo continues to dodge a few more times before charging in for a fatal strike.

But then... her knife/dagger breaks upon touching the goblin.

Y/n: Jin!

The goblin drives its blade into Jinwoo's abdomen as blood splashes out.

Y/n rushes in and attempts to kill the damn creature, but the goblin catches her lacking and slashes her chest.

Y/n: Shit!

Gi-Sool charges in and manages to kill the goblin; meanwhile, Jinwoo pulls the creature's blade out of her body. Blood gushing out of her like a puddle.

Gi-Sool then orders Joohee to heal Jinwoo and Y/n while he assists the strike squad.

She then does as told as she heals the two.

As she heals them, she asks them this question:

Joohee: Now, be honest, you two, neither of you are staying as hunters just cause you're too stubborn to quit, right? It's only a matter of when not if, something much worse happens.

Joohee then points out how Jinwoo and Y/n are hurt everywhere across their bodies.

The two attempt to apologize but Joohee wants none of it.

Joohee: I don't want both of you offering me an apology on a silver platter, okay? You two worry for God's sake.

Y/n: Well, that's how things are.

Jinwoo grabs Y/n's hand, comforting her. Y/n does so as well in response.

Joohee, meanwhile, watches the exchange between the two girls.

Joohee's thoughts: ( As much as I should be mad at them. They look so cute together. Just hoping they get together or something already).

Jinwoo and Y/n notice the other hunters talking about how there's barely anything worth scavenging from this dungeon.

One of the hunters calls out to the others, informing them of another dungeon he just found.

The group discovers this other dungeon is a double dungeon. Normally, in these cases, it's best to call the Hunters Association to deal with this.

However, many in the group wish to journey into the dungeon and the others don't, out of fear of the unknown inside.

Everyone turns to Jinwoo and Y/n to end the tie breaker they're having.

Both young girls decide to head inside since whatever is inside could help pay for Jinwoo's mom's hospital bills and help Jinah stay in school.

So, just like that, everyone pushes forward into the other dungeon.

As they move through the caverns of the dungeon, one of the hunters asks how long this goes?

Myung: How long's it been since we started this trek?

Jae-Hwan: About 40 minutes.

After some more trekking, they eventually find the doors to the lair of the dungeon.

The massive doors open as the torches on the wall light up with blue flames.

Jae-Hwan: Heh. "Let there be light."

The massive room has what appears to be a bunch of statues everywhere, including one in the center wearing royal clothes.

As they walk inside, Y/n thinks to herself:

Y/n's thoughts: (As much as this place is amazing, I can't shake this dark foreboding feeling).

Jinwoo notices Y/n's distress and holds her hands lovingly.

Jinwoo: Hey, everything's gonna be OK.

Y/n: Alright.

Y/n lays her head on Jinwoo's shoulder.

Everyone sees each statue has an instrument or weapon.

Meanwhile, Jinwoo and Y/n are standing in front of the statue with the royal attire, seated on a throne.

Y/n: Look at the size of that thing.

Everyone else then gathers around as they marvel at the statue, amazed at how large it is compared to the others.

The group then gather by a hooded statue, holding a stone tablet written in ancient script.

They learn that the dungeon is known as the Cartenon Temple and has a set of commandments.

They are as follow:

1. Thou shall worship God

2. Thou shall praise God

And the last one:

3. Thou shall prove thy faith to God.

Y/n turns around and notices the statue staring at her.

She tugs at Jinwoo's jacket sleeve.

Y/n: J-Jin? Jinwoo!

Jinwoo turns around to the giant statue and Y/n tells her what she saw.

Y/n: Jin, I think it's watching us. Like, I think it's been watching us.

Jinwoo: That can't be. Y/n, you must be seeing things.

Chiyul then reads the last bit of the tablet.

Chiyul: " You will not leave alive?"

Suddenly, a crashing sound can be heard as the doors close, effectively closing everybody inside.

Everyone starts shitting bricks as they wonder what to do.

One of the hunters, Jung Donghun, bumps into one of the other hunters as he tries to open the door, the statue nearby moves and uses its weapon to slice his head off, and his blood splatters across the massive doors.

The whole group is shocked beyond belief, having seen one of their comrades' heads chopped off.

One of the female hunters starts to panic as she screams.

Jinwoo and Y/n's thoughts: ( Oh God, that thing just killed him. Donghun was a D-Rank, and yet he was slain within an instant).

The two then start to panic as they turn around and the massive statue behind them stares down at them.

What will happen to these poor souls? Will they survive, or will they die?

Jinwoo ends up having a nightmare of her and Y/n nearly dying in the double dungeon.

She springs to life as she gasps from the memory.

Jinwoo pants heavily and looks out the window of the hospital.

Jinwoo: A hospital?

Jinwoo looks down to see her right arm completely healed.

Jinwoo: My arm.

She then looks down to her leg, once amputated, now fully healed as well.

Jinwoo: My leg's fine, too. The hole in my chest is also healed up.

Jinwoo's thoughts: (Wait, where's Y/n)?!

Just as Jinwoo is about to go and find Y/n, Y/n walks in.

Jinwoo: Y/n, you're okay!

Y/n: Jin, you're alive!

Y/n rushes over to Jinwoo and hops onto her hospital bed, hugging her tightly.

Jinwoo responds with this in kind.

Y/n: I can't believe we're both OK. Was it all a nightmare?

The two then hear a knock on the door, they see the door sliding open as two men in suits walk in. One with blonde slick hair and the other with spiky purple hair.

These two are Woo Jinchul/Jinchul Woo and Kang Taeshik/Tangshik Kang

Jinchul: Hunter's Association Surveillance Team manager, Jinchul Woo.

The man with the purple spiky hair is carrying a metal briefcase.

Taeshik: And I'm Taeshik Kang.

Jinchul hands both girls some business cards.

Y/n: Okay, but...

Jinwoo: What do you want with us?

After hearing this, Jinwoo and Y/n think back to what happened in the double dungeon as Jinchul speaks up again.

Jinchul: Of the thirteen hunters who raided that dungeon, just the seven of you lived. Only six. Though we all know how dangerous hunting is, it's rare to see such a tragic end.

Jinchul's face gets super serious as he speaks.

Jinchul: And yet it gets even more unusual.

Jinchul then explains that when the White Tiger Guild showed up, the temple within the double dungeon disappeared, along with the bodies of the deceased.

He then states the only thing that they found was Jinwoo and Y/n, lying on the floor, unconscious.

Jinchul proceeds to question the two on whether they had a second awakening.

A second awakening is a rare occurrence when a hunter who initially is stuck in the rank they're in acquires a power boost that elevates them to the next level.

Jinwoo and Y/n end up excited at the possibility of having a second awakening.

Taeshik then places a mana meter as he explains what it is.

Taeshik: This is a mana meter. Place your hands on the stone, please.

Jinwoo and Y/n place their hands on the mana meter stone.

Jinchul takes a look at the device for the mana meter in his hand, seeing two numbers, both reading 10.

Jinwoo: Well, sir? What rank does the mana meter say we are now?

Y/n: Are we D-Rank, C-Rank, B or maybe A-Rank?

Jinchul: Apologies. It would appear that we were mistaken about you.

Jinchul and Taeshik get up and walk out the door.

They realize that these screens popped up in the double dungeon when they near death.

The door opens up as Jinwoo's younger sister, Sung Jinah/Jinah Sung walks in, looking relieved and a little bit pissed.

Jinah: (sighs) You two have got to take better care of yourselves! You know how worried I was for you both?

Jinah leans forward with both hands by her waist.

Jinwoo: We're sorry.

Four days later, Jinwoo and Y/n have been exercising heavily per the system's orders or else.

After an intense jogging experience, they sit down on a bench and remark everything they've learned about the system and being players.

Y/n's thoughts: (To start, the screens are not hallucinations. Upon completing daily quests, we receive three types of rewards).

Jinwoo and Y/n: Full recovery activate.

Jinwoo and Y/n are bathed in a glowing green aura that heals their bodies.

Y/n: Our fatigue is gone.

They stretch out for a bit while boosting their stats using their ability points they gained.

Adding the points to the strength stat, they also see that both screens act in an individual yet intertwined manner. Like a co-op game where players can check out their own stats and the stats of other players and shit.

Sometime later, they get a random loot box, which reveals a key. But not any ordinary key, a key to an instance dungeon.

Y/n's current hairstyle and outfit:

Jinwoo and Y/n go to vist Jinwoo's mom, Park Kyuung-Hye/Kyuung-Hye Park.

After that, and some more training, they arrive at the train station where the dungeon should be.

Ready and prepped up with new daggers, backpacks and all that.

Jinwoo's thoughts: (All our gear's ready).

Y/n's thoughts: ( Did everything that needed to be done. Plus, we're the queens of running away, we'll just bolt out of there if shit goes south).

Jinwoo and Y/n take out their keys for the dungeon and place them in, activating the dungeon.

They walk in as the system screens pop up in front of them, notifying them they can't leave once they've crossed this point.

The entrance behind them turns into a barrier.

Y/n: Hey! Wait!

Y/n runs to the barrier but can't get through.

Y/n: God damn it!

Jinwoo: Exit's blocked.

The two girls see a woman pass by and realize the instance dungeon acts like another dimension.

In this instance, they're in some other world, while everyone else is still in the real world.

They believe that this seems to be like a red gate.

A/n: Hmmmm, foreshadowing 🤔😗.

The system pops up infront of both players, telling them that can't exit the dungeon until the boss is defeated or use a teleportation stone.

Jinwoo and Y/n decide since they can't leave, they'll just have to do this shit.

They walk down the stairs to uncertainty.

As they head down the hallway, Jinwoo and Y/n can feel the odd atmosphere in the area.

Y/n: This place is scary as shit.

Jinwoo: Agreed. All my confidence just went out the window.

Y/n: At least we have each other.

Suddenly, a goblin hops down as a system Notification appears on top of its head showing as Goblin.

Two more appear with the same system name tags as they growl.

Jinwoo: Three on two? Right off the bat?

Y/n: We're slightly lacking in the numbers department here.

The trio of goblins charge at the girls who steel their nerves as they face their opponents.

One goblin tries to slice Jinwoo, who dodges the attack with her quick reflexes.

The same goblin tries to go for Y/n, who turns away from her attacker.

The other goblins try to get in on the jumping as one attacks Jinwoo with it's blade.

Their blades clash and another goblin tries to sneak Y/n but she kicks it in the face, sending the green creature flying.

The trio of goblins proceed to overwhelm the girls with their quick and unprecedented movements.

Y/n: Damn pricks.

One of the goblins slice both Y/n and Jinwoo's backpacks off.

Causing them to roll away.

They get back up and tag team the goblin by stabbing it in the chest.

Y/n: We got one this time.

One goblin tries to attack but Y/n stabs it in the head and Jinwoo goes for the third, killing it by decapitation.

After Panting, they start to see their strength has increased but suddenly a wolf with a metallic jaw appears and bites Jinwoo's dagger, breaking it.

Y/n tries going for the kill but the wolf chomps hers down too.

The system notifies them that this wolf is a Steel-Fanged Lycan.

Jinwoo and Y/n's thoughts: (It's tougher than the goblins, we can sense that).

The Lycan leaps forward and scratches both Y/n and Jinwoo instantly on the face.

It then hallows to itself.

The lycan goes and leaps forward as Jinwoo and Y/n dodge using some acrobatic moves.

Y/n's thoughts: (We can do that)?

The Lycan goes for another attack but Jinwoo and Y/n, not wanting to lose their lives, punch the creature away with a powerful strike.

Their combined hit knocks the lycan to the nearby garage door.

The creature gets back up as Y/n and Jinwoo unleash a barrage of punches but nothing is working.

As the monster continues to attack them, Jinwoo and Y/n remember they have an inventory they can both use respectively.

They both open their inventories and select Mr Kim's sword which strangely enough Y/n also acquired as well.

They cut down the lycan as the system notifies them with a level up.

Y/n: Hey, Jin. The pain from my scar is healing.

Jinwoo: I know.

Two more lycans show up as Y/n and Jinwoo armed with a better weapon, ready themselves.

Y/n: Now that we're armed...

Jinwoo: You're not scary anymore!

The lycans go to attack but Y/n and Jinwoo manage to kill the first one after some trouble and the other runs away.

After that, they rest by sitting down and checking their stats.

Jinwoo: I'm at level two. What about you, Y/n?

Y/n: Same here, Jinwoo.

Jinwoo and Y/n learn that combat can help them up level up faster than doing daily quests.

They also find a lycan fang in their inventories, which they both sell on the system, acquiring 20 gold coins.

However, they encounter more lycans waiting for them.

The two girls brave themselves, knowing that they died once. And this time, they planned to keep it that way.

Jinwoo and Y/n charge in, slaughtering every single Lycan in sight as they continue to Level up and acquire the title of Wolf Assassin.

Granting an ability boost with each beast/animal monster type they kill.

Plus, they've acquired the teleportation stone as bonus among other things.

They press forward, killing more magic beasts along the way and leveling up more and more till they reach level 15.

They further down to the boss's location.

They look around, seeing the station covered in veins, moss and types of nature stuff.

Jinwoo: How is this place Hapjeong Station?

Y/n: Looks like a real life concert jungle to me.

Suddenly, a magic beast shows up as it blitzes towards Y/n and Jinwoo, causing them to counter.

Y/n: It's fast!

It knocks them back to the wall as they grunt in pain.

Jinwoo: Ah!

Y/n: Shit, my sword broke!

Jinwoo: Mine too.

They see the opponent they're up against is a giant blue snake named King Of The Swamp: Blue Venom-Fanged Kasaka.

Y/n: Crap. We're screwed.

Y/n's thoughts: (His name isn't in white, which means we're screwed if we don't play our cards right)!

Jinwoo and Y/n notice their swords can't break through tough scales, let alone can fist-fighting.

So, they decide to suck it up and act like grown up women and do this thing or die trying.

However, the fight proves to be a lot tougher than expected as Kasaka treats the two girls like nothing more than pets, playthings to be thrown around.

During the fight, they get tossed about and remember everything that has led up to this moment.

As they stand, Jinwoo and Y/n begin to glow with blue aura enveloping them and their eyes glowing blue.

Jinwoo and Y/n: We swear it. We'll get stronger if it's the last thing we do!

Kasaka charges at Jinwoo and Y/n as they scratch the snake with their blades.

Y/n's blade flies so she grabs Jinwoo's. Together, they push on and eventually they land on the massive snake and hold onto it for dear life.

Jinwoo and Y/n's thoughts: ( We put all our ability points into strength)!

Jinwoo uses her hands to crush the neck as she yells to Y/n.

Jinwoo: Y/n, let's kill this fucking son of a bitch!!!!!!

Y/n: I'm with you!

As Kasaka slams Y/n and Jinwoo around as they hold on and continue to squeeze the snake to death.

Jinwoo: With the power we have...

Y/n: We know we can kill you here and now!

Jinwoo and Y/n crush the snake to the point blood flows from its neck.

Jinwoo and Y/n: So die!

In the end, they manage to slay the monster and level up a ton.

Even acquired a dagger called Kasaka's Venom Fang dagger and a sample of it's venom.

Y/n: We... did it, Jin.

Jinwoo: Of course.

Jinwoo kisses Y/n on the lips and Y/n kisses her back.

They separate as they celebrate the fact they can say their no longer the weakest hunters of all mankind.

Y/n: Finally, we're no longer the weakest. Not anymore.

The dungeon is then restored to its original state since the boss has been defeated.

Jinwoo and Y/n walk out the station, holding hands as they do.

They notice that the whole town has gone silent.

Y/n: It's like a ghost town.

Jinwoo: What time is it?

Random soldier: Hey, you two! No civilians beyond this point.

The two girls turn to face a random solider

Random soldier: Did you not listen to the broadcast?

Jinwoo and Y/n: What broadcast?

The solider sees that Jinwoo and Y/n are carrying their broken swords.

He asks if their hunters to which they say yes and he apologizes for his attitude as he guides them.

As they walk, they see a bunch of dead monsters, indicating a dungeon break.

They then see a group of hunters, consisting of B to E-Rank hunters struggling with a golem.

Jinwoo and Y/n then launch their broken blades at it, destroying its defense, allowing the hunters to get the hit on it and killing it.

They then decide to leave as to not cause suspicion.

Chiyul goes on to state that in his time of raiding various dungeons, he's never been in this type of situation.

He also points out that the three commandments are no joke, meaning that they must follow the rules of the commandments or die.

Jinwoo and Y/n realized when the commandments were referring to God, they meant the huge statue they laser blasted one of the other hunters.

As they start figuring out a way of escape, one of the hunters in the group speaks as he gets into a running position.

Jae-Hwan: I'm not dying here! No. I just landed a contract with a major guild!

As he talks, wind begins to pick up around him as he activates his power.

Jae-Hwan: Got too much going for me to bite it in this crap hole!

Y/n's thoughts: (Is he crazy? Leaving will get us all killed)!

Y/n: If that's true, then don't move. You'll die if you do!

Jae-Hwan: I can do this! Speed's my specialty! I'll get out of here, watch me!

Jae-Hwan uses his speed to run toward the doors but before he can make, the God statue blasts him, killing him and vaporizing the man into mostly nothing.

Chiyul: Everyone, spread out till we come up with something.

Chiyul then runs off as Jinwoo turns to Y/n and takes her hand.

Jinwoo: Y/n, come on! Let's go.

Y/n: Joohee, follow us.

Joohee: R-Right!

The three try to get away from the statue, as far as possible.

Beom-shik thinks to himself about how his family is waiting for him.

A/n: Apparently, I confused bro's name with Gi-Sool. So yeah, there we go.

Beom-shik then reaches a nearby statue as he turns to the others.

Beom-shik: I think the safest place is up against the walls.

Sangshik: (While running) No, Beom-shik! Look behind you!

Sadly, Beom-shik is cut down in half by the knight statue behind him.

Sangshik: Beom-shik!

Meanwhile, Jinwoo, Y/n and Joohee run as fast as they can.

Jinwoo thinks to herself about the "Praise God" commandment.

Jinwoo's thoughts: (Praise God. Praise God. What is there to praise about that thing? It's more demonic than divine. Whatever I do, I can't Y/n and Joohee behind. Especially Y/n, I haven't told her how I feel about her).

Jinwoo looks around, trying to find something to save her, Y/n and Joohee included from imminent death.

Jinwoo takes a look at each of the statues, noticing one of them has a trumpet, she immediately puts the pieces together.

Jinwoo then turns to Y/n.

Jinwoo: Y/n, you see the statue with the trumpet?

Y/n: I can see it, Jin. And I know the plan.

Jinwoo: Good. Relay the message to everyone else.

Y/n: (To the others) Everyone, quick! Run to the statues with the musical instruments! Hurry!

Chiyul: If you say so.

Chiyul runs over to the statue with a trumpet/blow horn.

The statue's eyes glow blue as a horn blowing sound erupts.

Chiyul: What do you know? Them kids were right again. (To everyone else) Hey, none of the statues with the instruments will attack, so hurry and find one.

Sangshik manages to find a statue with a violin that plays, signaling his safety.

Meanwhile, Y/n, Jinwoo and Joohee arrive by a statue with drums.

Jinwoo: Cone on, play your drum! Come on, please!

Y/n: Jinwoo, I don't think it's working.

Jinwoo's thoughts: ( Is it possible that the statues are one per person)?

Jinwoo turns to Joohee.

Jinwoo: Stay here. You'll be fine. Y/n, come on. We gotta go!

Y/n: Right!

The two run off to find another statue as Joohee cries out for them.

Joohee: Wait, what about the two of you?!

As Jinwoo and Y/n run to the next statue, the God statue starts to chase them.

It begins to step at them, narrowly killing the pair in the process.

Y/n: Jinwoo, we need to hurry! We can't outrun that damn thing!

Jinwoo: We'll be fine, N/n! I swear to you, I'll keep you safe. No matter the cost.

Y/n: (Panting while running) I'm scared, Jin. I've never felt this scared since my parents...

Jinwoo could feel the fear radiating from Y/n. Thanks to their tight bond, it allowed them to feel what the other felt ( in a metaphorical way I mean). So, Jinwoo could sense this experience was bringing back memories Y/n didn't want to remember.

Jinwoo holds onto Y/n tightly as she says...

Jinwoo: Remember, back when we were kids...

Flashback:

A young Y/n walks into Jinwoo's house, accompanied by Jinwoo's dad, Sung Il-wan, as Jinwoo walks up to her.

Young Jinwoo: Y/n, are you OK?

Y/n, however, just cries as Jinwoo hugs her and she tells her:

Young Jinwoo: Don't worry, Y/n. No matter what happens. From now on, I'll keep you safe.

From that day forward, Jinwoo would keep that promise, that's how much it meant to her. To protect the girl she loves.

Back to the present day...

Jinwoo: I promised you that day when you came to my house that I'd protect you and that's what I'm going to do!

Jinwoo sees the statue and realizes she won't be able to get far so she grabs Y/n's arm.

Jinwoo: Y/n, please forgive me.

Y/n: Jin, what are you doing?!

Jinwoo then tosses Y/n with all her strength to the statue with the singing angel.

However, while doing so, she gets knocked back to a statue with a knight carrying a shield who cuts her leg off.

Y/n: Jinwoo, noooooo!

Y/n starts to cry, almost believing Jinwoo to be dead.

Y/n: Jinwoo, please be alive, damn it!

Y/n then yells out her feelings, believing Jinwoo might possibly be dead and no longer living to hear them.

Y/n: Jinwoo, please, I- I love you, I've been in love with you all this time, you crazy bitch! Please, don't die on me! Please! I can't live without you!!!!

Jinwoo emerges from the fog, as she crawls as fast as she can.

Jinwoo's thoughts: (Not yet. I can't die yet. I need to be)...

Jinwoo sees Y/n, waiting for her.

Jinwoo's thoughts: (I need to be with her. I promised I'd keep her safe and I'm not going back on my word)!

Jinwoo crawls with all the energy in her body till she eventually manages to reach the statue Y/n's at.

The statue then sings, signaling both hers and Y/n's safety. Somehow, by the grace of God (and a little bit of plot armor).

Jinwoo: Feel like singing some praises myself.

Y/n walks over to Jinwoo as the God statue returns to its throne.

Y/n: Jinwoo, are you OK?! Please tell me you're okay.

Jinwoo looks at Y/n's teary-eyed face. She places her hand on Y/n's left cheek and says.

Jinwoo: I am now, Y/n. Thank you.

Y/n then out of happiness and love, kisses Jinwoo on the lips.

Jinwoo is obviously surprised at first but easily melts into the kiss.

As they separate, Jinwoo looks into Y/n's E/C eyes.

And Y/n looks back into Jinwoo's blue orbs.

Y/n: Jin, I'm so sorry I did that. I thought you were dead and-

Jinwoo shuts Y/n up with another kiss, calming her down and placing her bloody forehead against Y/n's own bloody forehead.

Jinwoo: It's OK. I love you too.

A/n: I know we're going a bit too fast with the "I love you's" and all that. But then again, this is fanfic, plus they have been in love with each other since childhood, so yeah. But I'll try to make sure we go a bit slower, just a little bit.

Joohee runs over to the pair as she yells out their names.

Joohee: Jinwoo! Y/n! Are you both OK?

Jinwoo: Barely, but at least we're alive.

Y/n: Jin, your leg...

Jinwoo places Y/n on her shoulder, calming her nerves by using her scent to calm.

Jinwoo: It's OK, N/n. I'll be fine.

Joohee gets to work, healing Jinwoo's amputated leg.

Jinwoo: Enough already. I mean it. You'll wear yourself out if you keep going.

Joohee: I'm going to heal you! So just shut up and let me do it! Besides, you nearly scared your new girlfriend half to death, you'd expect me not to get mad?!

Jinwoo: Girlfriend?!

Joohee: Yeah, didn't you and Y/n kiss each other? Isn't that a confirmation you're an item now?

Jinwoo starts to blush heavily

Jinwoo couldn't deny the fact that at this point, she could say Y/n was now hers and forever at that. Well, that seems to be if they live to go out on an actual date instead of a dungeon death trap.

Joohee overexerts to the point she coughs blood and blood flows out her eyes.

Y/n: Joohee, that's enough.

The group then looks around, seeing the bloodbath of bodies lying about like a twisted art display.

Everyone then starts pointing fingers at each other, blaming one another for the casualties caused.

Jinwoo and Y/n know that blaming one another won't mean shit since the last trial us about to take place.

The God statue raises its hand as an altar appears.

Sangshik: The hell is that?

Jinwoo and Y/n: An altar.

Everyone else turns to Jinwoo and Y/n as they explain that they'll need a sacrifice to complete the last trial.

Sangshik unsheathes his sword and points the blade directly at Chiyul Song's neck.

Sangshik: Beom-shik had a family. Bragged about it all day, then I watched him get cut in half. He and six others died. If you really feel responsible for their deaths, prove it to us and God, leader.

Y/n: Don't do that.

Jinwoo: No, Mister Kim, that's...

Sangshik: Both of you stay out of this!

Chiyul: All right. Lower your sword and I'll go.

Chiyul walks over to the altar as Jinwoo and Y/n think to themselves.

Y/n's thoughts: ( Why is he doing this? It's not his fault in the first place).

Jinwoo's thoughts: (He shouldn't shoulder all the blame. We voted as a group to risk coming here).

Chiyul stands within the circle of the altar as a flame appears by him.

Chiyul asks Jinwoo and Y/n what's up, and the two figure out maybe a sacrifice may not be necessary.

Jinwoo turns to Y/n.

Jinwoo: Y/n, I don't want to seem rude but....

Y/n: Don't worry, I'll help you.

Y/n carries Jinwoo by her right shoulder and another hunter carries Jinwoo's left.

They then walk over to the altar as three flames appear.

Chiyul: Did you guys solve the last puzzle?

Y/n: Unsure.

Jinwoo: If we wait, is anyone likely to come rescue us?

Chiyul: Today marks the seventh day the gate's been open. Those statues will mobilize again before a rescue team does.

Jinwoo then realizes that gates normally take a week to last before a dungeon break occurs. That's when all the magic beasts get loose into society and tear shit up.

Jinwoo then invites Sangshik and Joohee to join her and the others.

Once they do, two more flames light up and appear.

Suddenly, lightning sparks from the altar, hitting the outer ring and creating more flames, blue ones at that.

A rumbling noise can be heard and it is shown to be the doors that led everyone here opening, inviting them to leave.

Chiyul: The doors opened.

A hunter, Ra Hyeyoung, asks if it's safe to leave now.

Hyeyoung: So can we leave now?

Jeongho: That's bait if I ever saw it.

One of the blue flames disappears into absolute nothing.

The statues with the weapons start to glow blue with blue lines.

They then activate and start walking forwards.

Chiyul: That doesn't sound good.

Sangshik: Look! The statues are closing in!

Jeongho: Do we have a plan?

Sangshik: What in their psycho God's name do they want?

Joohee: Why?

Y/n sees Joohee about to close her eyes but tells her not to.

Y/n: Joohee, don't. Don't close your eyes!

Jinwoo: They'll keep coming if you do.

Jinwoo then tells everyone to keep their eyes on the statues which they do.

Hyeyoung panics and runs away to the open doors as her flame dies out, signaling one less player in this sick game.

Chiyul: Talk to us, kids! Now what's going on?

Jeongho points out that Hyeyoung made it out alive.

Jinwoo tries to figure out how that's possible. She figures out the blue flames are timers and the normal ones are for those who are still here.

Jeongho who took Hyeyoung's place in carrying Jinwoo decides to dip and run off to the doors, pushing Jinwoo into Y/n as they both fall.

Chiyul: Jeongho, don't!

Y/n: Hey, get back here, you bastard!

Jinwoo: No!

The red flame (aka normal one) by Jeongho had dies out once he leaves.

Sangshik: Hey! Huh?

Jinwoo and Y/n: Don't you dare move! The circle will have blind spots if we lose our fifth!

Chiyul states that if they had more info, shit wouldn't be this intense.

Jinwoo holds onto Y/n's hand tightly as she speaks.

Jinwoo: We'll escape, too!

Y/n: Just gotta patient.

Sangshik then states the fact two of the weakest hunters of all mankind just saved is amazing, it still doesn't change the fact he has a family who needs him while he cries tears.

The man drops his sword as runs out and another red flame dies.

Jinwoo slams her fist onto the altar while Y/n does the same.

Jinwoo and Y/n's thoughts: (You're "sorry?"(looks at the approaching statues) Not yet. We have to survive this).

Jinwoo holds Y/n's hand and squeezes it tightly.

Y/n: Jin, I'm so scared. I don't know what to do anymore.

Jinwoo: Y/n, I'll say this and I'll say it again. I'll protect you no matter what! I love you, Y/n.

Jinwoo looks into Y/n's eyes.

Jinwoo: I'll always love you, no matter what.

Y/n: I love you too, Jinwoo Sung.

Jinwoo and Y/n share what appears to be a final kiss.

Once they separate, Y/n starts to shiver a bit.

Jinwoo notices this and takes off her jacket, putting it on Y/n since her clothes are ruined.

Jinwoo and Y/n decide to stay behind to keep the doors open.

Initially, Jinwoo opted to stay on her own but Y/n wouldn't dare to leave her and she knew it.

Joohee opposes this idea but gets knocked out by Mister Song.

Chiyul carries Joohee out on his shoulder as he walks out the doors, leaving Y/n and Jinwoo alone together.

Jinwoo faces Y/n, wanting to know why she stayed behind.

Jinwoo: Y/n, why did you do it? You could've left with them and yet, you stayed here with little ol' me. Why risk your life for me, damn it?! Why?!

Y/n: I love you, you crazy bitch! What do you expect me to say?

Jinwoo is shocked to see Y/n flipping out like this.

Y/n: You're my only home, Jin. I don't have anyone else out there in the world. No grandmothers, no grandfathers, uncles, aunts, cousins, hell, my own assholes of parents died after your mom and dad took me in.

Y/n starts to cry as she sobs.

Y/n: I love you, Jinwoo. You're my home, my family, my comfort and my true love. You're everything I've ever wanted and needed. So, I can't abandon you, I'll never you.

Jinwoo holds Y/n to her chest as the statues close in ever closer.

Jinwoo and Y/n end up accepting their fates as one of the statues tries to attack. Jinwoo manages to use Kim Sangshik's sword to guard herself and Y/n but gets knocked away.

As the two are rolling about on the ground, Jinwoo and Y/n lament on how they are.

Jinwoo and Y/n's thoughts: (We've always been the weakest, and we got mocked for it at every turn. But we still try as hard as we can).

Jinwoo tries to block again but fails as her right arm alongside Y/n's gets chopped off.

Jinwoo screams in pain while still trying to protect Y/n.

They both get slammed back to the altar. Then one of the statues stabs both the girls in the chest as they're lifted up and fall down on the altar.

Y/n: (Coughing blood) Jin, if this is the end, let's meet each other in the next life. Screw that, I don't want to die and not see you without me!

Jinwoo: Me too!

Jinwoo and Y/n look up at the massive blade,ready to cut their lives short.

Jinwoo and Y/n wish to be given another chance at life as the blade is about to end their lives.

The last blue flames burn out as a notification screen appears saying:
