Love the slight AUs where Bruce as Batman has been a member of the league for ages, but he's somehow managed to keep his assortment of children under the radar.

Because it sets up the wildest misunderstandings within the league. He routinely talks about his babies, his children who are all so sweet and kind and occasionally assholes yes but only because they are young (and traumatized) hell I don't think the league would even be aware that they're adopted. So they're all thinking literal children

Which means the day they finally meet Nightwing they don't know wtf to think. For one thing, how old would he have been when he had this kid???? Should they be worried about that???? And for the other, that is not a baby, that is not a precious little thing.

And they're like, okay. Okay maybe he isn't the baby (he is). He's got younger kids right? He's never said how many, they have 0 clues. They've been expecting 1 child, maybe 2 because he'd said kid in the plural exactly once when comforting an older woman while they were searching for her children in the aftermath of a rough battle.

And then a week later they run into Red Hood. In his leather, with his guns. And he drapes himself across Batmans back with all the self confidence in the world and starts whining about the "Brat" breaking into his safe house.

And yet again. He is not baby. He is bigger than Batman. He could probably break Batman in half given the bat didn't put up a fight. But Batman looks at him with probably the softest expression they've ever seen on that mans face and tells him very earnestly that the kid just wants to spend time with his older brother, next time they should try a walk. Maybe go to the zoo.

But probably not one of the babies. They're kind, and gentle, and at least one just loves reading and Bats has been trying to encourage that!!!

And then a day later he mentions his "babies" going for a walk in the park and they all instantaneously lose their minds at the confirmation.

The table top rpg from the first bakura arc in the early yugioh manga is so wacky if you try to think about it as a real game.

like the game uses percentile die which in the age of dnd cultural hegemony it's funny that Kazuki Takahashi's image of generic ttrpg in the 90s was a d100 system and not a d20 system. And also the ONLY dice roll is d100 which seems like a lot and very swingy for an other wise really simple seeming game. On the same topic of mechanics that are A Lot for a basic game there are random encounter rolls Every Turn with a 30% chance of a monster encounter immediately outside of the first town and that goes up 80% when they get to a forest which both seem crazy high.

There's also a ton of stuff that we never actually get rules for, like there are stats but it's unclear what they do and damage rolls and movement are never discussed at all. Additionally the player class and race lists which get dropped at the start in a could of charts have some wild stuff in them.

I dont know that ive ever wanted to play an rpg class as bad as i want to play a diabolist.

suddenly the world of superheros feels a lot more real to the citizens of Gotham who got used to horrible disasters being either ignored or neatly cleaned away from the public eye, now there's a guy getting thrown through windows and helping grannies cross the street and the war between gotham and metropolis gets even more cut throat

It has been said, and seen a few times that america has a pet unicorn that he can't see but takes care of(and is apparently tony's rival) what's that relationship like?

That’s an interesting question! I had personally ever given much thought to this, to be honest. There isn’t much in canon, either – so everything about this will be 100% a headcanon.

I find the concept of America owning a magical creature he cannot see quite fascinating. In his adamant refusal to consider the possibility of magic, he comes to the conclusion that the unicorn’s invisibility is a scientific phenomenon he is unaware of. He’s convinced that England knows and orchestrated a big joke, too, but he’s also aware England will never admit it. So, America has tried many times to discover the reason behind the unicorn’s invisibility. However, due to the unicorn being a living creature, he could never go too far as not to hurt it. America is convinced that’s the reason why he still hasn’t solved the mystery. He’s so set in his ways that his mind is just unable to consider a different possibility. America just believes that everything has to have a rational, scientific explanation. There’s no space in his mindset for magic (ghosts aside, but I feel like this may be another matter – more tied to spirituality than pure magic, if it makes sense). Being still in the dark about the unicorn’s true nature still does bug him a little if he thinks about it, though.

In spite of everything, I see America being quite fond of the unicorn. America is fond of animals in general, so he takes care of it in the best way he can. On its part, the unicorn is very fond of America as well. It can sense America’s well-meaning nature and honest affection and reciprocates it. When America is nearby, the unicorn tries to stay close to him and make its presence known (it neighs, or maybe nuzzles America...). If America is feeling down, the unicorn tries to comfort him with its presence – it nuzzles him, stays closer than usual... America appreciates that a lot, it never fails to lift his mood. I see the unicorn being very protective of America, too – it always tries to chase away people who give it a bad vibe. America appreciates that a lot. He’s very protective of the unicorn as well; while he knows that the unicorn can take care of itself, he makes sure there’s always something to eat, a warm shelter, and nothing that can harm it. He also gets very defensive if somebody bothers the unicorn.

I didn’t remember Tony being jealous, but I think it would be quite funny. I now picture Tony and the unicorn involved in a ‘war’ made of petty nuisances they create for each other – while America is completely oblivious to everything. He likes both of them equally and spends his time with whoever is the closest – or both. He really doesn’t have a favourite.

I see your "Alfred is a Disney Princess" characterization and raise you "Walt Disney met Alfred and then based his princesses of HIM."
