okay but I need the backstory to this immediately.

we know james and sirius are incredibly gifted wizards, and from what we see of sirius and what we hear of james, also incredibly gifted duellers. I don’t see either of them as being particularly cautious or fearful in their fifteen-year-old iterations.

so what is it that makes them eye lily warily as soon as her wand is out? do they just know how brilliant she is because they’ve been in lessons with her for five years? I choose to believe there’s more to it. has she hexed them specifically? has she hexed other students in their presence?

I think this specific line breaks down the entire concept of lily being a perfect little prefect. james and sirius, known troublemakers and avid duellers, are genuinely nervous when looking down the wand of lily evans! there is something there and I’ll never stop thinking about it.

I’m obsessed with the idea of vigilante lily evans hexing potter and black out of perceived service to the school. puts a whole new spin on “you’re just as bad as he is” in which…she…is just…as bad…as potter and black. delicious to me!!!!!

I havent seen many people around talk about Aelius Montgomery so i thought id make a post about some canon info we know about him!!

He was a male slytherin character who went to hogwarts around a similar time to the marauders!

First of all we know he was born somewhere in december 1960 (people generally believe he was born on the 23rd) which makes him the year below the marauders!!

He was a cousin to lucius malfoy

He was a death eater!! He seemed to be less trusted within the DEs (i thought maybe he'd had history with an order member?? Lmk your thoughts) but he did have the dark mark

He had blonde hair (i think it was long i cant fully remember) which was on brand with him being related to the malfoys haha

Generally he hung out with the death eaters but he was kind of like,, a peter sort of role (sidekick)

So yeah if you didnt know that stuff then here you go!!

If I'm being realistic, based on my own characterization of the characters and how they live freely in my head; for prongsfoot to work:

1-Prongsfoot happened before Jily happened at all.

2-It happened during their later 30s-40s and after James had years divorced(also Sirius had 0 things to do with the divorce). (Meaning James and Lily don't die btw lol).

3-Lily is the only one who died.

4-Jilypad happened.

But I also think:

1- I don't personally like this option because this means no Harry.

2- Idk if, in this case, one of them would have caught feelings for the other before jily again (or Sirius during, cheating is a nono for James even emotional) , but I feel like due their age and many circumstances, they wouldn’t explore that, they cared about their friendship too much (like TOO much) I feel like that their bond was enough when they were in their teens and 20s. And I love the idea of jily falling out of love sometimes because it is realistic, and they do fall in love very young, and I love the idea of life crisis, trying to figure out shit, one having many patterns and roads, not meaning that one road is unimportant, but meaning that you go through it, change and flexibility and new emotions etc etc (this is one of my fav)

3-I love the angst of this, I really want to explore the idea myself. Harry being raised by James. Sirius not ending up in prison. Grief. A lot of grief. What would happen to the Marauders and the war, and especially Lily fucking Evans haunting the narrative etc etc.

4-Tops everything else. They're family<3

Even tho I have read cheating prongsfoot works, it's not like I mind them, but for me to read them, I go, "Oh, shit! I love the writing style, the wording, and the tension (if a work is good, I will read it. It doesn't matter if someone made James fucking blonde/now that I think about it blonde James is a nono, but you get me). But I have to disconnect with my Sirius, James, and Lily bcs I see these mfs loyal to a fault."

Dolores Umbridge was a raging bitch with a good girl teacher's pet persona during her time in Hogwarts and since Regulus Black couldn't stand her nosy ass poking in every direction he decided to fuck her and make a whore out of her to teach her a lesson.
