i think people forget too often.
the domino twins were just as much cody's boys as they were rex's
The last scene between Vice Admiral Rampart and Captain Wilco is a dark foreshadowing of what’s to come for the clone army. “Corruption corrupts absolutely.” A horrible truth in the age of the Galactic Empire that will spell the end of the clones - pristine soldiers known for following rules and regulations to the letter. As seen with Wilco, clone troopers will not falsify reports for the personal needs of a superior.
An incorruptible force is now up against natural born, superior officers and political leaders who will stop at nothing to gain and retain as much power as the Empire will give them. Their fate is sealed and it’s so heartbreaking.
In conclusion, the Empire sucks and Rampart is #1 on my shit list. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
What’s writing, you know? What does writing actually mean?
BACKGROUND PALPATINE IS THE BEST PALPATINE LOOK AT HIM HAVING TO DEAL WITH THESE TWO IDIOTS ONE IS THE JEDI MASTER HE HAS BEEN TRYING FOR YEARS TO KILL BUT JUST CAN’T SEEM TO MANAGE IT THE OTHER IS THE FUCK OFF POWERFUL ONE THAT HE DESPERATELY WANTS AS AN APPRENTICE AND THEY’RE BOTH IDIOTS THESE ARE THE TWO IDIOTS THAT HAVE BEEN THE ROADBLOCK IN HIS WAY AND THE ONE WHO HE IS GOING TO HAVE TO DEAL WITH FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE THIS IS THE FACE OF A MAN WHO HAS SUFFERED AT THE HANDS OF TWO PEOPLE WHO DON’T EVEN KNOW HOW MUCH SUFFERING THEY’RE CAUSING HIM
GIVE ME A SPIN OFF SHOW ABOUT ECHO AND REX RIGHT GODDAMN NOW
i think the reason Commander Cody’s character is often undersold is because his story isn’t ever told in any one story. his screentime in tcw is low, but meaningful, his appearances in comics are incredible, but overlooked, he isn’t touched on much in RotS, but his personality is still super obvious there, and he’s only in one episode of Bad Batch, but he quite literally changed the entire course of the season with his short amount of time. all of it is rich and shows how much he cares about the people around him and that’s what makes him such a great character. he doesn’t need hours of time to make a difference in the other characters around him, he does that naturally no matter what
Me watching The Clone Conspiracy: I hate Admiral Rampart! I want him to be arrested. I want him to reap the consequences of his actions. I want him to fail.
Me watching Truth and Consequences: wait no no not like that.
the hill I will die on is that the most tragic story in star wars is the clones' story
after the rise of the empire:
ahsoka: *despressed on some outer rim planet, trying to hide who she is, dealing with grief and guilt
cody: *slowly realizing what hes done, and what empire is doing, struggling to find himself in the middle of all the mind control and propaganda
rex: *feelimg like hes standing alone against the empire, trying to fight it while mourning all of his falles brothers, missing ahsoka and anakin
obiwan: *dead inside, living in a cave on a desert, no will to live, crying over a bowl of worm based stew
meanwhile the fucking bad batch: oh wee lets adopt this kid and have adventures in space lez gooooooo
