This is so beautiful i can look at it for hour
james vowles to alex albon last summer
interviewer: how would you feel about this being the last imola race?
max: *yaps happily about loving the track, about history, about f3, about italy*
interviewer: so about those rumors on internal team changes-
max: that question is stupid, whoever thought of it is stupid, and you are stupid for asking it
fp3, GP Monaco, 2025
GP: "And Sainz now at 2.5."
Max: "Mate, please tell me that a bit sooner, you know. In this section 2 seconds is nothing."
GP: "Lawson 15 seconds."
Happy Simi day!
bonus:
"I promised Kimi that one day I would beat him [at badminton]. We're both getting older. I'm eight years younger than him, so at the latest when he's really old and I'm just a younger old man, I'll beat him in that game." - Seb, 2008
"He said to me that he is gonna beat me when I get older, but so far it hasn't happened." - Kimi, 2021
the law of equivalent exchange is the max thesis. you can't have imola turn one, suzuka pole, the entirety of brazil or even austin without hungary and mexico and spain. something cannot be made from nothing. it's two sides of the same coin. the same thing eating him up inside. the same choking grip of perfectionism pushing him above and beyond and occasionally over the edge
the way max drives against oscar is literally the best and most genuine compliment he can give
the aggression, the respect, i could watch them duel forever, its so so so good
