"I knew Kimi coming up through the go karting ranks people already saying great things, so I was keeping an eye on it. I think what is impressive; naturally quick, what I like he's level headed, calm."
"I think those are great qualities to have, and I was never in doubt that podium would come this year. He had a few unlucky races, one of them in the sprint was also my fault with the pit stop but it was just a matter of time and I am very happy that the podium happened for him. Gives you more confidence, a nice boost."
"It will only get better. So many things will come at you in your rookie season, you'll learn from the weaker and good races.."
"In the coming years, we will see a lot more from Kimi."
[OSCAR] bahrain grand prix 2025 // post quali
what I love about f1 driver lore is how far back it goes. this isn't just some guy running you off the road. this is a guy who's been running you off the road for TWENTY FUCKING YEARS
Max Verstappen and Oscar | Post qualifying, Saudi Arabian GP 2025 by Zak Mauger.
What was your first simulator experience? Like, do you remember? Like a video game or whatever, like where it started for you?
Well, I remember I was like three or four years old when my dad was still racing in F1. That I saw this like little mock up, like cockpit, and I was trying to squeeze into it. I was of course, way too small, but they found a way with pillows that I could– that I could drive basically. Someone was controlling the pedals and I was steering, already. So that's my– that's my first memory.
See this is why I love Nico commentary bc everyone else watched Max hit George and went "...well, that wasn't so great"
While Nico immediately goes "he HIT him. On PURPOSE. He just SLOWED DOWN and SLAMMED INTO HIM. Like ROSSI ON MARQUEZ"
also props to charles for not using the word 'incident' once in all the interviews, he has infinitely better self control (and survival instincts) than I
