I'm returning from my hiatus with yet another country, Myrefall! Myrefall is one of the less technologically advanced countries, but also one of the most important to their allies. If you've ever been on a Minecraft server with one of those players that doesn't fight almost anything but has a big enough wheat farm to feed half the continent, that' what Myrefall is like. It's the calmest place to live and has the best food in Evergreen, and stay mostly out of wars and battles besides providing rations to their allies in return for their protection.
Myrefall is the land of Centaurs and Satyrs. While the Elves are connected to the Earth in a way that allows them to learn it's magic, both Centaurs and Satyrs have a connection that gives them natural abilities. Most use their abilities to support their crops and to aid in construction, a few trained themselves to use them in battle, forming the Whispers. The Whispers are a small vigilante group that I haven't fully worked out what they do yet.
Myrefall is one of the few countries with two patron gods! Thareus God of Justice and Niione Goddess of Change. As I said in Ubria's post, I'll get more into the Gods later, but these two haven't been all too involved in Myrefall's business as of late for Reasons.
Myrefall is a democracy with a president voted in every 7 years, along with representatives voted in every 3 years. Once again, I'm not an expert on governments, so they aren't all that fleshed out unless it's important for plot, which I don't think it's gonna be for Myrefall.
In the absence of any mountains to build one on, Myrefall lacks any temple buildings for their patron gods. As such, people instead travel to the gates between Mudrye and Myrefall, where two large statues of the gods stand. These statues eventually became basically temples in their own right, with offerings left at the feet of the statues and proper alters built eventually to accomodate them.
Anyways, that's all I got for now. Byeeeeee
It’s 104% okay to come to your DM and just say, “Hi, can we be friends?” And then start asking you random questions.
We've made it to the Mystic Union now, y'all! First up on this side of the war is Aquatica, the place with the most blatantly obvious name in Evergreen. Aquatica is home to the Merfolk, shark-like individuals that are basically mermaids but slightly less human. Merfolk are obviously most connected to the ocean, and are naturally able to harness it's power. They can shift into a humanoid form, swapping their tails for legs. Most of Aquatica is built underwater in the deepest part of the ocean, but a little bit is built on a couple small islands next to it, both for tourists and for Merfolk who prefer to be in their humanoid forms.
Aquatica has one patron god, Aktis Goddess of the Sea. Aktis is the single most involved of the Gods, as she is the ruler of Aquatica on top of being it's patron, acting as a sort of King/Queen. Representatives are elected every 10 years, keeping her from being too old fashioned in her rulings, and keeping her decisions well informed and present in the modern day.
Like Myrefall, there are no mountains in Aquatica to build a temple on. Quite the opposite really, since they're very deep. However, since Aktis is King/Queen, the castle acts as a sort of temple, and those seeking to worship or give offerings would go to the castle instead.
That's all for now, thanks for reading! Byeeee
I think it's obvious that god views some of his children (that he supposedly loves) as completely disposable and it's really upsetting to me that more xtians don't seem to have a problem with it
Odysseus in Epic: the musical
everything is black and white in mormonism, and there is no encouragement for individuals to govern their own thoughts.
i think maybe it stems from the book of mormon beginnings, and how it was and continues to be studied — the words from there are gospel and should never be questioned, never analyzed alongside outside sources. what’s said is literal and true and final. anything you question, even in your own private thoughts is blasphemy.
another cause may be how there is only good and there is only evil, combined with the infantilization of members. grown men are proud to say they’ve never used a curse word, not even in their most extreme pain. grown women proclaiming they’ve never witness an R rated movie, even when all their non-member friends give it praise. we don’t partake in that, because we’re holy, we’re pure. be in the world, not of the world. we’re different, we’re better.
but god won’t smite you for saying “fuck” when you break a finger, and god won’t smite you for hearing “fuck” in a movie. i think personal boundaries and limitations are great, i support it completely, but there’s a difference between abstaining from things because you, personally, do not like it, and abstaining from things with an air of superiority and the name of god as justification. what makes it worse is turning around to point at and judging others, even as god commanded not to judge.
🏚️ From Rubble to Renewal — Help Mohamed Rebuild a Home Full of Hope 🌿
In the blink of an eye, the life we knew disappeared.
My name is Mohamed, and I’m writing this with a heart full of sorrow—but also a quiet flame of hope. Our family home, a place that held generations of memories, was reduced to rubble in an instant. The rooms that once echoed with laughter, the walls that witnessed our stories, and the garden where we dreamed of better days—all of it is gone.
And yet, we are still here.
Still standing. Still believing. Still dreaming.
Before the war, our home wasn’t just a structure—it was everything. It was the heartbeat of our family. We shared countless dinners around a modest table, whispered goodnight to one another across quiet rooms, and celebrated the small joys that made life meaningful. It was a place of love, of safety, of tradition.
Losing it has left a deep wound in our lives. But what we haven’t lost is our will to rebuild.
We are determined not to let destruction be the end of our story. We want to rebuild our home not just with bricks and wood, but with faith, with dignity, and with your support.
I know there are countless stories in the world that deserve to be heard, and I humbly ask that you take a moment to hear ours. We are turning to this community, to the kindness of strangers, because we believe in the power of people coming together to lift one another out of despair.
Your support—whether it’s a donation, a share, or even just a moment of your time—can help lay the first stone of our new beginning.
💛 Every dollar brings us one step closer to safety. 🧱 Every share gives our story a voice. 🌱 Every gesture, no matter how small, is a reminder that compassion can grow even in the harshest soil.
We are not asking for charity. We are asking for a chance. A chance to rebuild our lives, to give our children a roof under which they can dream again, and to find peace after so much pain.
Please, if you feel moved by our story, consider helping us build something new from what’s been lost. Your kindness will be felt not just in concrete and wood—but in every smile, every warm night, and every future moment of joy that your support helps make possible.
From the deepest part of my heart—thank you. For your time, your love, and your belief in us. We will never forget it.
With all my gratitude, – Mohamed
growing up mormon is getting sick and wondering what sinful thing i did that makes me deserving of gods punishment.
