also i really wanna make a shitty pokemon romhack or something where like its just a regular pokemon game but if you go to some random corner of the map you can encounter "just a regular fucking coelacanth" and its like some shitty compressed jpg of a coelacanth and it has three useless moves that dont do shit but also one called "outlast" where an animation plays where the day night cycle passes really fast over and over, time is flying by, your pokemon levels up and evolves until it hits level 100 then it dies. You black out, because the move killed your whole party. When you wake up, you're in the ruins of a pokecenter. There's no one around, holes in the walls and ceiling. You step outside. A vast, dead desert surround you. There is no more life. Everything is dead. You wander, the only one left to witness what time has become. As you wander, your curiosity and terror brings you to where you found the coelacanth. You find it. It's still here, still the same as it was. Just you and coelacanth, nothing else. You can interact with the fish: "the regular coelacanth is still here. coelacanth will always be here". Nothing else remains. Just you and coelacanth. Until you die. But you know that coelacanth will still be here. Your existance is nothing but a blip to coelacanth. And that's all you have. Just you and coelacanth.

I am very passionate about how Portal is a very feminist game. I see a lot of people say that Portal is progressive because it could’ve had a protagonist of interchangeable gender, and that Chell being a woman affects nothing. But it completely does! Chell being a woman is inherent to the plot and theming of the narrative! Portal is progressive because it depicts corporate exploitation of women and actively shows a woman perservering and overcoming that abuse!!!

Say the wrong thing? That's disrespectful and you're punished. And you don't even have to actually say anything wrong. Pretty much anything you say can be considered "giving lip" if your parent wants some excuse to punish you. But if you say nothing, then you get punished for ignoring. You also have to calculate your response to their mind game quickly because taking too long to respond is considered ignoring. Also, if you're being wrongly accused of something, saying nothing is considered a confession. And even if you somehow manage to say exactly what your parent wants in exactly the correct tone, they'll still punish you for "sarcasm" or "not really meaning it".

My friends and I used to do this thing where we'd dress up on a theme and go do something totally normal.

We dressed up as pirates and went bowling.

We dressed as vikings and went to the grocery store. The security guard told us we had to move our longship because it was illegally parked.

We dressed as Romans and went to Blockbuster. The staff chanted, "toga! Toga! Toga!" at us.

We dressed up all steampunk and went to the museum. Tourists kept taking our picture.
