Love doesn’t just sit there, like a stone, it has to be made, like bread; remade all the time, made new.

i want what they have
when healing from a person.. you will have thoughts like “I loved them more than I loved anyone, I never knew I could love someone so much, I’ll never love someone that much again..”
It is important to realize that your ability to love that person didn’t come from them, it came from within you. You were always a lover, already someone who could love deeply. Just because they are gone doesn’t mean that goes away. They didn’t give you the capacity to love, they just gave you a place to express it. Don’t give someone else the credit for how hard you could love, that was you and it still is.
does anyone else have a deep sickened feeling when seeing billie eilish’s vogue photoshoot? i adore the woman to death, but she’s so young. she has said numerous times that she wears baggy clothes as a way not to be sexualized. yet, the second it’s legal, the music industry wants to tear her clothes off for all to see. and people applaud her & thirst for her without given a second thought for critical thinking. like we aren’t even going to question it?
"This International Women’s Day we call on all who identify as feminists to engage in the lifelong unlearning of their biases and to be in solidarity with Palestinian women, Sudanese women, Congolese women who are experiencing an ongoing genocide." from The Slow Factory, 08/Mar/2024: caption cont. under images.
In Palestine, more than 9,000 women have been brutally killed by the Israeli Occupation. 63 women killed per day.
In Sudan, 4 million Sudanese women & girls are at risk of sexual violence.
In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, more than 1 million women have been survivors of sexual violence.
In Turtle Island aka the so called USA, 94% of fatal violence committed again Trans people are committed against Trans women.
This isn’t about the stats, the poverty porn or the constant shock doctrine the West desperately needs in order to be inclusive. This is a call for solidarity and collective action.
Access to feminine hygiene products, bodily autonomy and the access to necessary safe and caring spaces as women are all human rights.
