"what on earth can you do on this earth but catch at whatever comes near you, with both your hands, until your fingers are broken"
i cant think of the fact that humans send messages saying ’where are you? who are you?’ from earth to the giant and empty space all around us for too long because it makes me cry so hard and feel so human and lonely

being a woman is just a constant cycle of [maybe if i was prettier] [maybe if i was prettier] [naybe if i was—]
im obsessed with donna tartt because her writing style is so sophisticated that you dont even realize how crazy all the shit happening is. yeah, this guy almost died from living in a mandolin factory over winter break and then found out all his friends had an orgy that ended with them killing some random dude and then helped them commit another murder and then found our 2 of them were doing incest, but it reads like a classic novel so who cares? donna tartt books are what would happen if u had jane austen write its always sunny in philadelphia.
while wearing hijab often *is* a choice for american/western muslim women, they are culturally coerced into sticking with that choice because of the intense backlash from their communities directed towards women who choose to take it off. is it truly a free choice if you’re coerced into sticking to it?
does anyone else have a deep sickened feeling when seeing billie eilish’s vogue photoshoot? i adore the woman to death, but she’s so young. she has said numerous times that she wears baggy clothes as a way not to be sexualized. yet, the second it’s legal, the music industry wants to tear her clothes off for all to see. and people applaud her & thirst for her without given a second thought for critical thinking. like we aren’t even going to question it?
