every time i look at the mystery gang i have this like visceral feeling that someone is missing. but nobody ever is. who are they. what happened to them
#I chose villain's minion and I got magical realism
AFTER VOTING, click here to see what genre you've landed in.
coworker gave me tea some time ago and i've finally tried it out. it comes in a fancy cloth teabag and allat and smells really fruity which i'm not really used to.
it’s always “poor little meow meow” or “evil bastard” or “I could make him worse” what about men who are normal 🙄what about men who pay taxes and are well adjusted individuals and not at all insane
White people disguising their racism and xenophobia by dumping it all onto Dori cuz they know her design is orientalist and gets shit on by even POC, will never sit right with me. Especially in defense of a grown man who is the cause of his own adult suffering.
He's the one who refused to accept joint ownership of a free house simply because Alhaitham would be the other owner.
He's the one who was commissioned to make Dori's palace, then finished building most of it on a cliff location she argued against, that was also a withering zone. The withering took everything down in one night and Dori was so mad she wanted him removed from the project because of all the time and money lost.
He's the one who made the active decision to sell everything he owned, including his family home, so he could put forth at least 70% of the funds necessary, to rebuild the palace. He cost Dori an ass load of money and she still had to pitch in, AGAIN, to fill that remaining 30%. The reason he owes her money is because his impatience cost her money and, in the end, he still wasn't able to pay everything back by himself, so she had to add in more of her own money.
In fact, it was so bad that he actually overspent on materials. Because Kaveh doesn't think about what the client wants. It's about what Kaveh wants most. His Hangout literally shows this when a dude wants a building with a very specific design because it'll be within the price range he can manage, and Kaveh did nothing but argue because he didn't like how it would look if he did it the way the man wanted it.
He's the one with no concept of how to save money. He's in debt because of his own actions. He can't even spare a minute to to use his brain before he gets swindled out of everything he has.
Kaveh is self-destructive and it's all HIS fault.

Not to be mean, but with the exception of like 3 whole people, Genshin stans and lore theorists have gotten so lazy. And then get mad cuz others don't agree with them.
Samsaras are revealed.
Anything that happened since then must be a samsara:
We're stuck in a samsara!
This whole thing must be a samsara!
Are those people trapped in a samsara?
Maybe the whole country is in a samsara of their destruction!
That sounds like a samsara!
Forbidden Knowledge is revealed.
Anything that causes discoloration or a change to your ability to view/hear the events MUST BE Forbidden Knowledge. It can't possibly be anything else:
The screen glitched! Forbidden Knowledge!
The screen darkened! Forbidden Knowledge!
The screen turned black and white! Forbidden Knowledge!
Character's voice becomes static and glitches out. Forbidden Knowledge!
There are so many themes in this damn game and I'm sick of seeing people just constantly falling back on samsara and forbidden knowledge.
yes I was lazy with the colors sue me
I had a sudden thought of the Traveler deciding to go with a duel for their Honor upon entering Fontaine and kicking Clorinde's ass in the process. And as a result of beating the best the nation has to offer, they just decide to do what they want so they break all the laws they think are stupid, and because the laws are the way they are, they just constantly demand a duel and end up mowing through all the Champions the Court of Fontaine has so they never face punishment for their 'crimes'. And because the Traveler is just doing what they're legally allowed to(as it is merely suggested that people don't break the law if they don't want to go on trial or duel a Champion and potentially die) they can't be kicked out.
The Traveler becomes a sort of hero in the eyes of the people because they're undefeated and a great source of new entertainment for the Steam Bird and its readers.
i knew from a young age i was weird and off putting and unlovable
Thinking About Fictional Character while you have music on is such a risky activity. there’s no way EVERY song on this album is literally about Fictional Character. and yet……..
Kageyama, whose clueless about social cues and relationships: hey so like. what's a normal way to behave with ur friend/teammate/rival?
Hinata, utterly in love with him & also impulsive: no idea. wanna move in together?
Kageyama:
Kageyama: sure.
this tweet is so kageyama coded
The theory that Teyvat is enclosed in a false sky/prison is so devastating to venti specifically because it means that Nameless bard (and the rest of old Mondstadt’s people) never truly saw the sky, they left their old prison only to enter a larger one. They died for nothing in a sense
I think that makes good reason for Venti to turn against celestia

cyno: how do we know death is a man? because he always comes quicker than expected.

Still can't believe Furudate got away with making them king and queen. And no one batted an eye.

Thinking about how it's possible that Wriothesley's trauma manifests in him being a man of action. He's always so decisive and tends to handle anything dangerous personally. It makes me wonder if he always thinks about the other children that he wasn't fast enough to save before he managed to kill the people that raised him. Perhaps he's not intentionally self destructive, but I feel like, perhaps, he shoulders the weight of every failure and keeps it with him, reminding him that he needs to be better, DO better, despite him already being enough.
I translated some fountaine memes
More favourite tropes:
“Unfortunately, [thing that would ordinarily be described in much stronger terms than ‘unfortunate’].”
“Fortunately, [thing that is in no way fortunate].”
“Unfortunately, [thing that would be fortunate in nearly any circumstance except the particular circumstance at hand].“
“Fortunately, [very minor benefit that absolutely does not offset the considerable drawbacks of whatever just happened].“
“Unfortunately, [the exact, word-for-word thing that somebody just expressed that they hope won’t happen].“
“Fortunately, [complete non sequitur].”
clorinde and wriothesley's concept designs just for fun
me delving too deep into genshin lore and trying to prove why venti is one of the most important characters in the game bc he has lore everywhere and trying to connect him to lore that probably has nothing to do with him
but it does (source? trust me bro)
Kaeya who is the most two faced character in the game. Kaeya who has the aura of a great king but shuns it out of his unending love for the nation he’s supposed to betray. Kaeya who loves the people around him so deeply despite barely having any kind of close relationship with his own family. Kaeya whose seemingly over-the-top grandeur is actually a product of his royal heritage and a part of himself he can’t help but claim. Kaeya who wears Khaenri’ahn symbolism boldly whenever he finds he has the freedom to, right alongside his celestia- given vision. Kaeya who fights for the valor and freedom of Mondstadt with a forsaken nation’s long-lost ceremonial bladework. Kaeya who laughs in the traveler’s face at the idea of being associated with Khaenri’ah but keeps a record of the Alberich family’s motto right alongside his childhood objects with Diluc. Kaeya who yearns for his home Khaenri’ah, his forgotten nation, and at the same time yearns for a home in Mondstadt as well despite living there. Kaeya who has not once slept peacefully at night and wake up without guilt. Kaeya who will never truly be able to pick an outcome where he can save everyone he loves. Kaeya who was doomed from the start.
Sometimes a creative outlet is a fun little hobby and sometimes it's a lifelong affliction. Like I crochet because making little woven animals sparks joy and I'm a writer whether I like it or not because I'm tormented by visions
Growing up is actually all about realizing people don’t inherently dislike you and it’s a bit odd to assume they do
every time someone mischaracterizes nuanced character relationships and turns it into a basic parent-child dynamic, i die a little inside
my main gripe with this is about nahida being called scara's mom/aunt but it also extends to zhongli & xiao, wriothesley & sigewinne, neuvillette & furina, etc.
like. i enjoy found family as much as everyone else but that is a terrible injustice to the characters' writing. the character typecast as the child is infantilized to hell and back while the other character is reduced to a 2d caricature of the perfect parent. Bruh
don't get me wrong, headcanons are fine and all, it just irks me that some people consider it lore accurate when it really isn't
sooo sort of a masterpost of info about Wriothesley.
about his character:
hes basically incorruptible, is said to be "low profile and dependable"
mostly just cares about the peace and tranquility of the inmates (he's a protector at heart!!)
treats everyone equally and generally prefers to be "reasonable" rather than use more forceful methods
doesn't really like cruelty and violence but if the need comes, he will use it
he thinks of himself as "neither a good person or a villain, just another soul still living on in this world"
hes basically just interested in every bit of knowledge any person shares and in their unique talents
he says that he himself doesn't have many abilities, but he "knows how to find people who do and get them to work for him"
his past:
wanted to be convicted and spilled everything about how he killed his adopted parents (cough cough child traffickers), even though some wanted to treat him with leniency
learned to lockpick and create small gadgets as a child
gained Coupons in the arena of the Fortress (while injuring himself considerably)
when he got his vision after going to prison he just. hid it between the fabric of his clothes so that no one would know and/or steal it. and then he kinda just hid it some more, for years, until he went to the Palais to receive his title.
how he actually became the Administrator:
accumulated a fuckton of Coupons
got everyone's respect by being so rich, "observant, persuasive, humble and reasonable"
got his account emptied in retribution by the former administrator
convinced other ppl to protest and challenged the previous administrator to a duel
the former administrator run away from the fight, leaving Wriothesley on the last day of his sentence without anyone to sign his exit papers
"so he walked into the office and took over all relevant duties"
about his role as a Fortress Administrator:
has a private information network and many connections
rejected having a ceremony for his title of the Duke. no spotlight for good old duke.
basically his management style just helps the Fortress make money (with one of its main clients being the Palais); he even jokes that his title was basically bought because he's a leading tax contributor
after dealing with the Fatui spies he went for a swim. near primordial water. and he didn't say shit after realizing that the prophecy may be coming to pass, he just started preparing his funky ship.
relationships with others:
Clorinde actually admits that no one really knows all of the methods he uses to keep the Fortress up and running; it is stated that "very few people know him in his entirety"
he seems to think of Neuvillette as some sort of a. higher power that cannot show concern (BUT HE DOES OH HE DOES)
he indeed held out the umbrella for Neuvillette in the rain. the Iudex was polite, but distressed.
gifts a lot of tea to Furina.
got Neuvillettes trust (i think what he implies is that he got it by his actions, not words?) and the Iudex "fought hard for the title and reputation he now has"
when he went to prison Neuvillette told Sigewinne to take care of him and they frequently exchanged letters about his progress (and Wriothesley called her Neuvillettes spy…)
info that i find especially funky:
he's a big softie when it comes to animals and kids
may or may not go outside the Fortress incognito to buy snacks sometimes. he's actually too incognito to know really
doesnt treat boxing like a hobby, "more like a necessity"
melusines put stickers on him and he rarely notices them do so. they are just too good. and besides, it doesn't bother him. they also have bets on who will pit more stickers on him.
he would like to have a happy childhood and maybe the ability to trust people (i am BAWLING)
might be "a bit taller than Neuvillette"
drinks coffee with milk and tea with two cubes of sugar
he thinks Sigewinnes milkshakes taste of desolation
Sigewinne spiked his tea with anaesthetics when he was younger because he always refused them out of fear that they would fog his brain
