Having to try and explain why I “changed” (aka came out as transgender) to my younger cousins this Christmas wasn’t something I was expecting but was actually kinda glad they asked, and it wasn’t a negative conversation (tho the original question made me worry that it would be lol)
Because in my mind, I haven’t changed, I’m still me :] I’m just actually expressing who I am now, instead of keeping the real me stuck inside the tiny box I used to keep my transness inside in my brain. Also I think it was one of the few times anyone asked me why without trying to “change my mind” or just blatantly disrespecting me after trying to explain my pov
