for spirk, everything is about chess. except chess, which is about sex
The very fact that every TOS reboot is afraid to depict the closeness between Kirk and Spock in the same way it was depicted originally is a devastating reinforcement of how gay that shit was

I am Heba Al-Anqar, 21 years old, a university student. My university was suspended due to the war. I am writing about my family: my father Bakr (54 years old), my mother Alaa (46 years old), and my sisters Aya (18 years old), Amal (15 years old), Muhammad (13 years old), and Maryam (8 years old). We have faced many challenges in this war, from the destruction of our home to the famine we continue to suffer in northern Gaza.
My father suffers from heart problems. He had open-heart surgery when he was 36 years old. He also suffers from cartilage problems. He had his pelvic joint replaced about two years ago, in addition to other health problems. He cannot work due to his health condition.
My mother also suffers from asthma and shortness of breath, in addition to the difficulty of obtaining treatment due to the conditions and the war.
This is our house, which was destroyed by war
We have become homeless in places of refuge, in addition to the difficulty of obtaining medicine, food, and daily expenses
I created this account to request your help in this difficult ordeal by donating to meet the necessary needs, as we were relying on social assistance before the war.
My goal is to help my family live in safety and provide the necessary necessities for living, as there is a high cost of living and difficulty in obtaining necessities. We ask for your help in leaving the Gaza Strip to save my familyβs life. The cost of travel is $5,000 per adult and $2,500 per child, in addition to travel and accommodation expenses of $500 per month.
Together, we can support Heba and her family through this ordeal. Your donation, no matter how big, can make a difference in my family's life to get life and start a new life
If you are looking to support Heba and her family, please consider providing assistance directly or through relevant charitable organizations.
Cannot express how terrifying it has been to watch donations to Shahed's gfm drop so immediately after she met her $40k goal. Shahed has been working tirelessly - at great expense to herself, oftentimes right in the aftermath of escaping massacres by a hair - to save her sisters from danger, and while we've seen some success on that front that isn't the end of this road.
But the support has dried up like the battle is already over.
Most of my followers probably know her at this point, but if you're new here, shahed is a 21 year old who is fundraising to evacuate her family to safety. Her initial goal was to just get $40k USD so that she can get at least her younger siblings and her father (sick with hepatitis and with a heart condition that needs surgery urgently) out of gaza in time for the egyptian border to reopen. But now that she has crossed that threshold, she can finally begin to consider her own evacuation along with the rest of her family.
I want to remind everyone that her situation is still urgent and ongoing. I have talked about it before but i hate how it seems that people have to wait until something shocking happens to see palestinians as real people who deserve help, as if it isn't constantly shocking and horrific. It does not end everytime we hit any milestone, and the people behind these fundraisers still exist and suffer even after the βfadβ has ended.
When we hit 40k last friday, even though it was what she had been praying for weeks, shahed couldn't be happy about it cause the very next morning she got displaced from where she was encamped at khan younis yet AGAIN due to the intense bombing by the iof near her camp. She was texting me through it all with shaking hands, telling me she didn't know what would happen next even while it all while explosions were happening just outside her flimsy tent.
Everytime they are displaced, they lose a little something more as they dig into precious funds that ought to be going into getting food and water and leave behind more personal belongings to make the move faster. Can you imagine losing what little you have all over again, over and over again, after you have lost your entire home and so many friends and family for no fault of your own?
Gaza has now been reported to have a polio epidemic as well, and has no infrastructure whatsoever left to combat it. There are unvaccinated babies and children there RIGHT NOW, who are in serious danger every single day they are delayed and forced to go through this. Shahed's youngest sibling Bilal, who is just a baby, is one of them.
I cannot put into words the shame it makes me feel to see old posts about her 40k short term goal still going around with people celebrating in the tags, while on this side im hearing from shahed about how her family is on the verge of starvation right now even as we are still failing to get shahed past her next goal of 50k, never mind the 80k she needs to evacuate her whole family.
I want to remind you all that this is still a genocide. We try to take the small victories when they so rarely come, but this is STILL a genocide. The goal posts will always ALWAYS keep changing as the situation develops, and we cannot afford to lose momentum everytime a goal is reached. If you see a post where a short term goal has been reached but the fundraiser itself has another few thousand dollars left to raise, i NEED you to take that as your cue to assume that the situation has changed in some way and check in.
Because maybe the families doing the fundraising get to celebrate their rare wins, but WE in the world outside gaza don't get to. We HAVE to keep demanding for more, we HAVE to keep pushing, we CANNOT rest, because people like shahed and her family deserve so much more. Frankly the same goes for demanding a ceasefire, but thats not the point of this post atm.
All i ask is that you take her situation seriously, and please don't punish her for the small gains she has made lately by assuming that she has it handled now. The numbers do NOT reflect the support she is getting, nor the urgency.
This gfm is verified and appears on hussein and nairuz's list of vetted fundraisers, so dont hesitate to share and donate. Let's at least try to get shahed to 50k within this week, she is less than 5k away.
Please donate any amount you can, share it in you whatsapp groups, share it in your discord servers, this CANNOT wait. Repost this gfm anywhere on social media where you have reach, because i can't do this alone.
Hello dear friends!

All the positive words cannot express how generous you are, especially in sharing my posts to inform other donors about the people of Gaza who are still suffering from the terrible conditions caused by the unjust war on Gaza!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the support you are giving to help Palestinian families stay safe and alive. ββ

We collect such donations to provide the minimum basic needs of life and help find safety and peace for young children who do not deserve to live in such horrific situations. Thanks to your contribution, my family is slowly approaching 1/2 of the way to reach the goal. Every form of your help makes a difference to the free people who have been struggling and paying so much for almost 300 hard days.

Please continue to support the most just cause in the world either by donating directly or by sharing the link to let others know. Don't hesitate to help people in difficult and miserable times until the dark days are over.
