This is completely and utterly false, because the main reason why Steven Universe was hated so much was because 4Chan raided Tumblr and one person made edits whitewashing/straightwashing some of the gems (and one of the crewuniverse told them they were giving into trolls.) the hate only spread mainly because it was not only LGBTQ+ but trolls and people found the show incredibly annoying and it only went worse when Lily Orchard made her video.

Now, when you hear Rebecca Sugar, do you hear ANGRY WOMANCHILD NOISES AND EAGERLY DEFENDING!??!?!?!!? No? That's because Sugar doesn't give a rats ass about what people think about her work. She ignores and only intervenes when her fans hurt someone. Which she did. Sugar is detached from most in the Cartoon Network scene. Hmmmm, that I'm not sure of. Probably not at first. I don't think he'd start feeling paternal over them right away for him to suddenly want any sort of custody. He makes it pretty clear he ain't no "helicopter pappa" lol.

I'm curious about the Cell Jr's. Are they alive or no?

I thought Gohan killed them but apparently there is a manga where they had survived/regenerated and were tamed, working with Android 17 as protectors of monster island, which I was told was canon, so who knows. Maybe Cell might get another chance to be a better dad in the reformed au

I got this question twice in the instance of gender roles.

The main societal roles are:

-Therapies: Prodominantly female [Pre-Orran War]

-Offense Troopers: Male/Female/Mixed (inclusive to gender-fluid Troopers)

-Transporters: Predominently male [Pre-Orran War]

- Merchants: Mixed (all genders)

After Orran's war, all social roles become fully integrated.

The reason they aren't pre-Orran War is because the Elder's focused on Sento types they felt could be precise to an expertise, not so much about patriarchy norms or discrimination.

They assigned Therapies to the females as the most crucial role because of the results of precision, stress endurance, and speed they can tame Oozarus to. This will be amended to later include men and other identities to the practice after Orran's war.

I do indeed have Therapie ocs who are sapphics. The nature of their duties just impede a lot with their love lives so it can be difficult.
