Modern AU laika where Laios works at a connivence store living paycheck to paycheck while on the side taking community college classes where Kaka part times as tutor but has difficulties as he’s usually more nonverbal having trouble speaking to others.
So Laios and Kaka have quiet tutor sessions where they try working everything out silently only speaking when absolutely necessary

By all means some would say it’s tacky or something of how over exaggerated chimera Laios would look but it would by all means be effective that’d be undeniable
Using poisons of other hunters he hunts down as its own to fire at others and being able to conserve energy easier the threat is that he’d be dangerous by all means and effective seemingly without flaw with the outline made using the dragon
I like the idea of Chimera Laios before he got absorbed into the dragon or whatever somehow out of his own pure will and determination he’d up slightly more anatomically correct than how Falin’s chimera form looked in his eyes as he basically says that her chimera form was like one of those deformed pugs.
Granted it’d probably end up looking even more grotesque but he’d be happy and he’d definitely add unnecessary features out of his own will like some kind of OC but it’s actually himself lol.

Band AU Laios, Chilchuck, and Toshiro forced to go through a moe outing trip to go visit a port town a few train rides away to try to get inspiration for a new song or two.
Chilchuck ends up sharing a bed with Laios to not disturb Toshiro who seemed tired but instead accidentally cockblocks him since Toshiro wanted to share a bed with Laios.
Laios is just happy he can hug something as he sleeps as I think he’d have a million plushies of different monsters and animals and reads them bedtime stories that are just monster encyclopedias that every time they get something wrong Laios just raises an eyebrow at his plushies before going back to reading.

Even more thoughts of this AU Huzzah. Anyways now with other characters, I like the thought of Laios and Chilchuck mostly being a duo act together for a long while before anyone else joins them to help, like Tade who one time when accompanying Izutsumi to the Touden’s place to hang out over heard both Laios and Chilchuck recognizing their music as she would listen to what they would upload online from time to time and becoming an honorary member helping them with social media and posting their music properly, helping them connect a bit more with modern audiences as Laios and Chilchuck don’t seem the kind to have socials or have shell accounts just to follow family, and Tade would be a good drummer.
And Toshiro who most likely trying to impress Falin learnt how to play Bass but wasn’t allowed to join her or Marcille’s band because Marcille didn’t like him. So he stopped playing for a while before one day had seen a post by Tade with her, Laios, and Chilchuck in it just promoting a new song and after a while of contemplating decided to ask Laios if he could be the bassist to his group which he said sure on after consulting Chilchuck who basically started living with him full time.
Thinking about modern band Au Laios. I feel that Laios compared to the others like Falin and Marcille who I think would be in their own possibly with other members like Izutsumi. He’d be something like idk more on the lines of Liana Flores or Mitski in a sense having more lullaby type of singing preferring not to join Flain and Marcille as they’re the types to deal with large groups instead staying to his own playing the synth making music on his own in his dump of an apartment he and Falin live in while she goes to college or something.
Chilchuck would probably be in a similar vain as a half foot being more sensitive to loud noise so he probably while working with Laios one day hears him singing a soft melody and joins him as he at one point also did music in an underground group playing the acoustic guitar and electric guitar.

Going back to the post of the AU where Laios gives the monster manual to Falin before she and the rest of the party got sent back while he gets eaten by the red dragon, I can’t stop thinking of the post where someone said how they can’t get the idea of Falin’s immediate reaction as she holds the bloody monster Manual laying on grass just looking down at it, just the deafening silence before the panic sets in everyone just silent before she immediately starts flipping through the pages scrambling even more than Laios did in canon almost running back into the dungeon without thinking being pulled back by Marcille and Chilchuck
Thinking on how I tan during summer as being hispanic I don’t get sunburnt easy, which makes me think on how the Laios party would tan like Senshi I feel would tan slightly not too much, Laios would tan heavy almost getting sun burnt, and Chilchuck is definitely being set on fire by the sun
I like to think as Chilaios modern AU as semi parental figures with Izutsumi like she primarily lives with Senshi but drops by their place from to time or just cause she’s bored and will just lay on top of them while they’re trying to go to bed but they don’t mind as long as she isn’t placing her feet on either of them
People might kill me but Laios x Zon the orc chief. It has me thinking how would they interact both before and after the end of the story. Like Zon just is like “this guy’s sorta cute but weird asf” and like after Laios meets Leed with the others and the story continues it turns more into “oh god I like this freak of fucking nature”
Thinking about a world where it was Laios who got eaten and before Falin and the others where sent back he gave her his monster manual thinking he would die wanting her to have one of the few things that brought him such unbridled joy

I’m thinking of Magical girl Laois but I don’t know of what continuity he’d be the funniest in cause my first thought was the Madoka Magica/Magia Record universe but I don’t know too many magical girl animes or shows
I’m thinking would Digimon mix better with Dungeon Meshi cause Digimon aren’t made of flesh and bone just data so if they tried cooking any of them or even kill one it would just like dissolve away so would the dungeon Meshi cast do better with Digimon comparative with Pokémon since with any Pokémon they’d find it’s immediately getting the crockpot method
Chilaios modern au where they’re getting married but only invited people like a week or so before the day and almost no one else knew they where together so it’s just a week of people scrambling to get a gift especially those who prefer to be more elaborate and most confused as hell the only people who really knew beforehand being Falin who thought they where obvious, Senshi who’s head cook, and Izutsumi who dgaf
After having gone through the story quest all I can say is I still love Gallagher idgaf what anyone says he could perma kill Firefly and the rest of the Penacony cast and I’d be okay with it. And I hate Aventurine a lot less, his backstory gave him a lot of depth that his character needed but he’s still on thin ice I can’t bring myself to like characters of his archetype but hes cool
