This is for people of Israel/anyone who supports Israel/anyone who wants to stay "neutral" about this genocide, remember that this is how your fav "defenders/heroes/government servants are supposed to be responsible" are talking about innocent Palestinians civilians:
If you choose not to speak on this matter, if you choose to not speak up for Palestinians, then be well assured, 100% guaranteed that what's happening in Palestine can (and will if you let Israel get away with MASS MURDER) also just as easily happen to you, and then there will be other people who would stay "neutral" and silent on this matter.
If you think that the reason you're not taking sides is because you don't really know the situation that well, then EDUCATE yourself. It is your responsibility, as a fucking human, to do your research to stop and prevent such atrocities from being committed.
(I know, I FUCKING KNOW I have at least a few dozen followers from Israel/support Israel/ZIONISTS who are reading this and I know that your eyes may be blind, but your hearts aren't. Don't be a hypocrite, and don't be ignorant)
Good Omens s2 spoilers
Did the almond theory reach tumblr yet?
I'm believing this with my entire soul, there was too much emphasis on the drink order, there was a music switch when The Metatron walks away with Aziraphale and looks at Crowley, there was manipulation felt for the entire interaction.
With the almond syrup restoring Aziraphale's purity, it would explain why he's so adamant for his friend to end up in Heaven again, an establishment he knows Crowley despises. It would explain why he's willing to give up his bookstore and human delicacies because "nothing lasts forever" while we all know how much he treasures his books and materialistic joys. It would perfectly tie back to the flashback introducing us to Aziraphale's gluttony. It would explain why he forgives Crowley for the kiss, forgives him for not seeing the Greater Good of helping people with Heaven and for preferring such human acts.
Thinking about Frank vs Russia again. And about the confirmation that the SINNED system was created at the same time as the DENNIS one. We know Dennis perfected his system for women but we haven't seen him ever date a man or keep a man. We have no confirmation of what he's done, and based on Dennis' eagerness in knowing if Dee and Mac got 2nd dates, I like to think he's never even tested it before. It was all based on observations. He kept it secret all these years and finally saw potential now to test it out through them. When's the second date? He's eager to know. Does it work.
And it does. Ofc it does. It was foolproof. He knew that.
Dennis isn't against a romance with Mac. The system exists since s6, Dennis clearly WANTS to keep a man. He just doesn't understand how that's already happened. Mac likes him? Wdym, he hasn't done the steps yet. Dennis just confirmed that the system works.
We know Dennis' outburst basically meant "You can't be in love with Johnny because he doesn't love you Mac, I don't love you. Move on."
But it also meant "You can't be in love with Johnny because Johnny is me! And you're not in love with me!"
Dennis is rejecting love on all grounds, in both directions. This isn't part of the plan, part of the scheme. This isn't his goal, not now. He's not ready and Mac isn't either.
The goal was simply to get Mac's attention back. To bring them back on equal footing. To be friends again. Dennis is fixing the friendship first, and Mac is being impatient and an idiot and jumping at romance and ruining the careful pacing Dennis is creating.
Nicola Coughlan is the it girl of 2024 but ruining relationships and characters in Bridgerton in order to make her character the sole focus was not the fan service move to make.
1) There's plenty of amazing posts about the absolute horrible writing of Cressida this season. It's so confusing to tell us to root for her in part 1 only to expect us to be happy at her horrible downfall in part 2 with a shitty voice over of Penelope apologizing.
2) I love the writing of Polin's relationship but the final love confession of Colin stands out from all the rest and makes no sense to me. Why would Colin tell Penelope that if he has no dreams, he will be content and happy to be her husband and to love her. What was the point?? The only reason he said that is to flip the gender roles of Portia's sentence when she was telling Penelope that men have dreams. women have husband's. Is Colin's dream being loving his wife supposed to make him a feminist icon? Pen's only wish was partnership, established by her defying Colin's "I'll show you everything" and instead asking him to "teach her". She just wants respect. She kept telling him that his writing is good, why doesn't he genuinely follow that as a passion. It's not a competition, they can both be good? Now it feels like he said "I'll publish my manuscript, and if I succeed I succeed, if I don't it's okay I have my wife." Okay, but you're allowed to keep working on it? You don't have to like, give up? Aim high, aim succeeding. Writing can still be his dream, and he can still love his wife. They can co-exist. Benedict kept saying that love is not finite. Colin can love writing and love his wife. He can work hard on his dream and still support his wife's success with no jealousy.
3) Why did Portia only focus on getting closer to Penelope and not the other sisters. It was literally up to Pen to fund their ball to finally put a smile on Prudence's face. Singling out Penelope like that to shower her with love still outcasts her from the rest of her sisters instead of forging a family bond with all of them.
Cressida losing is not a win, Colin not having dreams is not a win, her sisters not getting motherly affection is not a win. What the fuck.
i still think its funny how people misinterpret the gang chokes as dennis wanting mac to Take Charge, take care of, and control him rather than just wanting mac to be more self-assured and reliable (ie. able to save someone from dying of his own free will) when one of dennis' common complaints in early seasons was that mac was too bossy. if you ever find yourself talking about power struggles, remind yourself that dennis doesn't want real power, he just wants the illusion of power. he only needs this because he doesn't want to be out of control. he's happier when he and mac are on equal footing.

Anytime I watch one of these incel coded movies that only portray male mental health with anger issues, I get reminded of Dennis Reynolds and the fascinating decision to give him BPD, the disorder of feeling too much. It's such a fkn fantastic idea that completely strays away from the usual apathy as a solution to anger. And with this new knowledge, the narrative around his character is shifted. Dennis is still an angry misogynistic character but it's explicitly a coping mechanism and an exaggerated facade to try and fit in within this culture.
What is glamorized in bro culture, here it's carefully developed against it. Bro culture strives to have control, to have no-strings attached sex, to be angry and strong and the leader of the house. When it comes to Dennis, he would need the total opposite to truly strive. No control, a meaningful relationship where he feels seen, to feel the totality of his emotions, to not have responsibilities.
I can never quite get over how much Nine tried to protect Rose. I don’t just mean keeping her out of physical danger, but also mentally and emotionally he tried to make her feel as safe and secure as possible by not letting on just how scary things truly were at times.
It hits me so hard every single time I see Nine’s demeanour change from “the delta wave is either not going to work or it’s going to wipe out the entirety of Earth along with it” to “Rose Tyler you’re a genius!” because in that moment he was clearly thinking about exactly how to break the news to Rose and he decided to lie and try to be as upbeat and enthusiastic as possible so she didn’t freak out and put herself in danger to help him. He put on a whole act, pretending that he had a plan and that all he needed was Rose to step into the TARDIS and wait for him, and he’s bouncing around and smiling the entire time.
And then he leaves the TARDIS, and the act drops immediately and it is one of THE most hard-hitting scenes in Doctor Who history, the way he just turns around and sends her home.
But also it’s when he regenerates and even though regenerating hurts because to him he still feels like he’s dying, he makes sure to crack jokes the entire time just so Rose feels comfortable and assured, and isn’t too scared by what’s happening in front of her.
Or it’s in Father’s Day when he knows the only way to save the planet is for Pete Tyler to die, but he tries desperately to find a different solution so Rose doesn’t have to go through seeing her dad die again, despite the fact that Nine and Rose had fallen out anyway because Rose had caused the entire mess in the first place.
Just... Nine protecting Rose from any emotional distress along with actual physical danger is exactly why their relationship is so so beautiful. Tenrose will always be my favourite pairing but I think ninerose is just as superior in its own way and I love it to death. Nine was so caring and compassionate towards her, even if he didn’t outwardly show it as much as Ten did. I would even go so far as to say that Nine was the most caring out of all the other Doctors. He was at his peak in emotional vulnerability, desperate not to be alone unlike post-Rose Ten, but hadn’t quite been worn down enough to switch off his feelings like Eleven. He just cared so much and GOD I miss Christopher Eccleston.
