You can tell if someone's actually pro intersex liberation by seeing their reaction to the phrase "abolish the sex binary" Yes I said sex. Like biological sex. It's not binary.
the thing about working as a housekeeper is that sometimes I will be called to clean a room that is in such a state that it gives me pause.
The thing about being a housekeeper at a Hospital is that it is not the things that would usually be concerning that leave me with questions.
Like if I go clean a room and it is just covered in blood, I'm not all "where did all this blood come from" that would be silly. It came from inside the patient and they were already in a hospital so they're probably mostly fine hopefully.
In fact "Inside the patient" is where most of the potentially concerning stuff I have to deal with comes from. Vomit? That's from inside the patient. Urine? Feces? Inside the patient baby. Needles full of unidentified drugs? That was supposed to go inside the patient but I guess they frogot.
But when I go to clean a hospital room and it is full of Sand... Did that come from inside the patient? I hope not. Why is there so much sand? Where did it come from? Was there some kind of terrible beach accident?
I have many questions and I'm scared of the answers.
I just watched Our Flag Means Death two days ago
And I already miss it.
Baldwin is a cool name. It is the opposite of Hairloss
Superman desperately scanning the street during a fight to find the most morally acceptable car to throw at his opponent, knowing that not everybody has insurance, and loss of transportation can ruin a life -
A wave of incredible relief washes over him as he spots the hard geometric lines and silver paintless sheen of a Cybertruck.
I was going to make a longer post about how cool cats are but it was getting too long so now I will just list all of the things that make them cool
(Disclaimer: This is mostly a list of anatomical and biological things. I'm not going to get into how they are as pets, as that would make this list even longer than it already is)
Retractable claws; dynamic pupils/low-light vision; crepuscular (most active at dawn and dusk); whiskers; barbed tongue; shoulder blades are attached only by muscle (why they can fit in such tight spaces, use whiskers to gauge if they can fit); Jacobson's organ (why they open their mouth to smell); can hear up to 64,000 Hz (three times higher than humans); 200 million odor sensors (14 times better than humans); have more vertebrae than humans (gives them flexibility); can rotate their supple spines more than most other animals (makes them twisty :)); righting reflex (why cats land on their feet/are able to rotate mid-air, able to do this because of their twistiness); nictitating membrane, also called third eyelid (the white eyelid cats have that sometimes partially closes when they are sleepy or have just woke up, leads to that derpy look); use body language to communicate + growl and hiss when threatened, only meow at kittens and humans; large variation in coats and interesting coat genetics
Cats are just really awesome, and I love them so much. If people ever make the mistake of asking me about cats I will literally never shut up. You would have to knock me unconscious with a shovel to get me to stop
