I've been following @aroace-get-out-of-my-face safety alarm au, and I have a few thoughts for Stan lol.

They said magic is about intent, and therefore he isn't very good at it because of his confidence, right? What if he uses the exact same spell over and over, for the WRONG reasons, just because it's easy and it pisses his brother off.

Like that one post with the fix it spell? Using the wrong spell to get the right outcome? Just pointing at a wound and yelling "FIX IT" at the top of his lungs instead of learning a healing spell. And it urks the FUCK out of Ford.

"please Stanley, I could teach you a few healing spells if you could just-"

"FIX IT!!" *Currently pointing at a broken bone and it somehow setting it back into place with a sickening crack.*

Welcome to another episode of "This Song fits This Character and Why"! With your host: me.

As you can see, I'm in love with Yaelokre's songs (I need more pls) and these past few days I've been listening to "Kid & Leveret" on repeat over and over again. And you all must know what happens when you mix your favorite songs and hyperfixations together!😃

So, I think that song fits Stan and Ford. Ok, so why do I think that? I'm gonna be honest here man, it's less about the lyrics and more about the ✨vibe✨ BUT. The lyrics that really do fit the twins, is the intro.

This is a story

About two children

One who hid to be heard

And another who ran to be remembered

I present to you, "Kid & Leveret"

This really is a story about two children. Or, well, it begins as such. The kid who hid to be heard is Stan. Because he lived a majority of his life hiding, detached from the world, using fake names, and trying to make the millions he promised. Because that was the only way he thought he could redeem himself, to be heard. Also the song talks about how Cole used to run and hide (at least from what I understand, I'm still confused about the Lark's past T^T) and yeah, it just gives me Stan vibes.

The kid run to be remembered is Ford. Because the second he had the chance to leave New Jersey, finally make a name for himself, but not as a six-fingered freak but as a scientist, he took it. Or was really close to taking it. I mean, that's pretty much why everything happened in the show, right? Because he wanted to prove he's more than just his birth defect. But he still kept going, he still left to get on that journey to become well known. He ran to be remembered.

Basically Kid & Leveret is about two children trying to escape their mothers (although in Stan and Ford's case it can be their dad, maybe kinda their mom too, and the town in general) who saw them as pawns and trophies. Ford much more so since Stan was deemed as the problematic twin, but both of them were degraded to things lesser than sons, than kids, in different ways from eachother by the adults around them growing up.

Welp, I caved. I tried my hand at an Ena oc, enjoy.
