best part about city life is public breakups, i could not get this back home in waffle house but i have seen multiple public breakups here. today was an ice cream shop.

Idk I haven't posted in a while but this is js something that's been bothering me for a while. I don't know but I just feel like you shouldn't call yourself a goth, punk etc just because you dress like it. Sure, fashion is an aspect of being in a subculture but I just feel like it reduces those subcultures with years of history to a mere trend.

being in a city that’s rich in punk history is kind of annoying when you also go to one of the most expensive schools on financial aid and scholarship because there’s so many rich kids that try to act “poor” for the “punk” aesthetic. like oh your family income is over half a million a year, but you’re stealing things from stores??? and you also hate it when people find out your family is fucking rich???

then there’s like joint activities with neighboring schools that are also fucking expensive, and it’s just like a bunch of rich kids wearing crust pants they bought off someone for $200 moshing to bands WHO ARE ALSO PRETENDING TO BE BROKE. Seriously a local band sings about working and doing anything for money, but then you get to know them and find out that they don’t have a job and are being completely supported by their parents who they see two times a year.

you do not have to be broke to be punk!! but you are not punk if you’re romanticizing inequality you capitalist pigs!!
